Pinkbike Poll: Have You Ever Broken Carbon Fiber Cranks?
@jomacba: Good thing they've got you covered. RF refused to warranty my fourth NextR which lasted whole two months and delaminated as all the others before as their warranty is limited to 24 months after the initial purchase. Never buying one of their products again

Review: 2021 Cube TWO15 HPC SLT - DH Bike Week
@kingofbike: I'll test it for sure, but the review sounds exactly like the caracteristics of every cube bike I've ridden to date. High in the front and a suspension platform that needs way too much dampening. But first it has to show up at all, delivery is sceduled for july...

Review: 2021 Cube TWO15 HPC SLT - DH Bike Week
I've got one of these on order because i got a steep discount and the geometry looked like cube finally managed to get something right but this review doesn't inspire too much confidence. Guess I'll be in the market for a good frame to swap the parts over

Review: Shimano's All-New XT 4-Piston Brakes
As a part time bike mechanic it is really the opposite for me: I lost count of how many shirts, pants and shoes I've stained over the last few years with mineral oil because of hoses slipping off shimano's crappy bleed nipples, whereas the use of a sram professional kit ( especially with a bleeding edge brake) is almost completely spill free. For sure the procedure is more complicated and the tools are more expensive, but if done the right way its just as easy and done in almost no time. Same with bleeding a fox fit vs. A rs charger cartridge...

Cube Stereo 150 TM - First Ride
I work saturdays as a mechanic in a bikeshop selling lots of Cube bikes (and i really can't understand why). There are a lot of usual issues with their rear triangles flexing too much, rear axles coming loose all the time, failing hardware etc etc. Enough has been said about them being behind on geometry already but what really grinds my gears is their sloppy carbon fibre layup. For example when building the last (beautiful!) stereo action team replica out of the box I could spot about 8 or 9 little layup/weave mistakes on the toptube alone, basically the whole visual layer looked like a ray charles himself slapped them into the mould. If production is so careless about the visible stuff, i really don't want to know about the non-visible layers. Also there are regular assembly issues like pinched cables, foreign objects inside the frames...
