Are people still moaning about this? It’s just entertainment, a video comparing top of the line brakes to XT/SLX or whatever would just be boring and I’m sure it could be found somewhere else.

I love my Hope V4 because they feel just like a proper brake setup on a motorbike. Not the on/off feeling my mates XT’s have.

@jackpopey: You don’t need any specific tools to bleed Hope brakes. I bled my v4 in the same way I would any motorbike brakes I’ve done. They sell a nice kit to make it easier for people but it’s not a requirement.

First Look: Transition Launch Alloy Scout and Sentinel
I used to be a total weight weenie before buying my 2019 alloy scout, I was horrified by its heft.
After riding it a while and even trying my lighter bike again I realised that the weight makes little difference while climbing and is better for descending.
I absolutely love the bike and I’ve went and made it heavier by replacing my carbon bar with a new alloy one and a DH casing tyre! No problem.
