Santa Cruz HighBall 29er Carbon

$2500 GBP
Beautiful Custom Build Project from Lake District Bike Shop A customer won this stunning frame in a competition at the Kendal Film Festival. We bought it, and built it into a bike suitable for some fast trail riding, long distance events and some Lake District gnarly fun. The frame comes with a full warranty, as do all the brand new components. Forks - Rockshox SID 100mm with stealth decals fitted, featuring the charger 2 damper. Wheels - Custom Build - Mavic XC430 rims, XT Hubs, DT Swiss Spokes. Tubeless Groupset - A Full Shimano XT 1x11 set. 32t Front with a Black SunRace 11-46t Rear cassette. Finishing Kit - Shimano Pro Koryak and KS eTen Dropper seat post Contact Points - Fabric Elite Flat saddle, Fabric Lock on Semi Ergo grips. The drivetrain has been heavily considered. We used a SunRace 11-46t cassette, it features less severe gaps in the range than the Shimano cassette, it is lighter, and is anodised black to really make this bike look so amazing. We also used a KMC Black nitrile chain. The tyres are a wide and fast tubeless combo from Vittoria. 2.35" x 29" The Peyote on the rear for speed, and the Barzo up front for added grip through the corners. Includes Orange Seal Tubeless sealant, Mavic valves. The frame is a lightweight bike, so finding a dropper post to fit the skinny 27.2mm tube was a challenge. We eventually settled on the KS with a traditional lever activation. For weight weenies this can be swapped out for a carbon post. We paid special attention to the tone of black anodizing and components so that they all match and suit the bike. It really is a stunning looking bike. All professionally built by Mapdec Cycle Works, to Cytech standards. Feel free to call us to discuss any questions, or minor modifications you might want making. (01539 267562)

Riding With The Hope Tech Crew
It is a real shame that Hope Tech felt they are above the law and took to illegal footpaths to get these photos. Access for mountain bikers in the lakes is tough enough as it is without this sort of blatant disregard. I really hope that they put right their wrong and make a sizeable donation to Fix the Fells. Please don't go and ride the footpath, there really is plenty of excellent Mountain Biking to be had in the Lake District without resorting to Footpaths. Please Hope, use this as a way to apologise and show us how responsible Mountain Bikers can be.
