Press Release: Trailpartie

"The coolest, most laid-back and fun mountain bike event series, the Alps have ever seen. Fun enduros for those who never wanted to take part in a race."

That's how the organizers of the brand new Trailpartie describe the format. It's a new take on enduro events really. The concept is as simple as compelling: moderate climbs, loads of time on transfers, fun stages without the risk of arm pump, nice people and a bunch of good times to have. And that's not even completely it.

Trails and community
Whilst Trailpartie is aiming at sending you into Monday with a huge smile, its idea is to cultivate trails and community. That's why there is even a very beneficial side to all the fun. For each participant, Trailpartie is donating money back to the local organization, that's providing the trails for the event. Specialized is topping that up through the Soil Searching program.

Trailpartie was founded as a club last year and is inviting everyone who wants to take part in a Trailpartie event to become a member. Another portion of the starting fee is going into the Trailpartie trail fund and all members can decide at the end of the season how the money will be used. The only condition: it has to benefit trails and community. On top, all members will have free insurance for the events and generally when riding a bike.

Like a group ride
So what does a Trailpartie look like, we hear you asking? Events take place in small trail centers and the course will be marked by noon on Saturday. That's the time when you can head out and have a look at the stages. Or you join the group ride at 1 p.m. to do exactly the same, but with a bunch of fun people. Everyone is back by 4 p.m. for the prologue, that has absolutely no effect on the "race" on Sunday, is pure fun and brings together people - literally.

Totally in line with the Trailpartie concept, Sunday is starting out late, so you can sleep in (or have a look at the stages, if you didn't manage to do so on Saturday). First riders will hit the loop around noon. Last riders will be back after three to five stages by late afternoon, just in time for a nice cooldown beverage in good company. Fastest guys, girls, oldies, young guns and very young guns (starting from age 11) will be awarded with prizes, but the really sweet stuff is going out through a tombola.

2022
Registration for the first three of five Trailpartie events has just opened and places are filling up quickly. No wonder: the first event you take part this season is just 10 euros. Spring and Fall is where the dates are set. That leaves summer to enjoy completely to your liking. Sign up and exact locations for the last two rounds will be published at the beginning of summer.

Huge props to the organization team! Really great about the youth categories as well. I think getting kids involved is a good way to slowly bring some much needed acceptance to the MTB sport in Austria. See you there!
