Trail Head Racing (THR) has teamed up with the non-profit organization A Little 4 A Lot.

A Little 4 A Lot (AL4AL) has been helping women in Kenya gain independence through education, vocational training, and micro-loans after they undergo surgery to repair major internal damage from childbirth injury due to prolonged labor www.ALittle4ALot.com.

AL4AL and THR will be holding the 2014 Sea Otter Classic “SPEED TRAP” for DH racers. Fastest speed during the race at the “runway” after the log drop will win up to $100!

One winner per Category. (e.g. one winner of all age groups combined per CAT)
MEN: PRO, Cat1, Cat2, Cat3, Junion, Hardtail
Women: PRO, Cat1, Cat2, Cat3, Junior

50% of entry fees goes to racers (up to $100) and the rest goes to the non-profit. There will also be bonus prizes. The more people that join, the bigger the pot gets and the more bonus prizes we will add. Prizes include contributions from Kali Protectives, Trail Head Cyclery, AL4AL, Karma Tequila, The Hive, and more!

$10 to become eligible for the SPEED TRAP competition (does not include DH race fees. Must be a registered DH racer to enter the SPEED TRAP contest).

Entry fee includes:
1) Eligibility to win
2) A sticker to be worn on your left shoulder during race run so we can easily determine who is entered.
3) One raffle ticket for our general raffle

 Clipped for certain... Agree with honoodle, all about exit speed from the berms. The roosted sand we all throw up outta there will be just as rad! Don't know if I can put in a pedal stroke after landing until the valley... Which is likely below the trap,.. Hmmmmm

 i think it really depends how much speed you can hold out of the corners before the log drop and the log drop itself. But that is a very good point!

 I'm not familiar with the course yet but I really think anyone could take it tbh. I just heard that the bigger wheels won last year.
