Must Watch: Gee Atherton Rides More Exposed Lines in 'Ridgeline IV: The Dolomites'
Wow I was surprised to see so many people commenting about how risky this was. I thought this clip was brilliant. He clearly knows his riding abilities and how to mitigate risks better than any keyboard warrior. The fact that this was filmed in advance means he could have stopped at any time, scoped out lines, reridden features, etc., basically anything he needed to take risk out of the equation. If you have ridden anything that's exposed you know you're not actually thinking about the drop-off while you're riding, you're thinking and looking at the trail. If you look at the tree, you will hit the tree.
I guess I'm also surprised to see so much risk aversion for this clip and not on Rampage posts, which I think is a way riskier event. It is shown live so you see the raw outtakes as they happen and there are awards on the line so riders are pushing themselves more than they typically would.
These comments about risk come from a good place, you care about the guy, and that's respectable. I will also just look at it from the awe-inspiring perspective. This was incredible and hats off to you Gee.

Race Analysis: Maydena & Derby Enduro World Cups
Even if there weren't prizes, I think a lot of people would have enjoyed it if Pinkbike still had the platform open to play against others on PinkBike or to play against their friends. It's a fun way to keep up with racing and makes you commit more to following racers. It's as much a service to pinkbike users as it is showing support for the racers.
