This will be great for all the instagram and youtubers to travel around and make content. For the average person it will be tough to get all these places I'm a year I think. But there's some loaded people riding MTB, so perhaps this is for them.

Cool cool, but what about Colorado?
  • 8 1
Vail and Alterra control our territory, unfortunately.

There’s no “loam” in Colorado. Just sand and decomposing granite.

@TheGrey724: Yea, makes sense, there are so many good bike parks in Colorado though, seems like an obvious destination for someone doing a roadtrip.

@TheGrey724: Hoping alterra rolls out a bike park pass eventually, so many altera bike parks in the mountain west. Trestle, aspen, steamboat, deer valley, jackson, big sky, solitude (being built)

@liamintemann: Ikon has 1 free day at their participating mountains already

Or Washington State, where the word 'loam' shows up seemingly everywhere...

For bike parks, we have Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and probably something in Spokane. Crystal Mtn (an Alterra property) has had lift access in the summer in the past.

There are multiple shuttle operations in Bellingham alone.

The site might also benefit from highlighting bike destinations that don't require a fee, like the growing number of pumptracks... But maybe that's not the point of the business.

So, like a travel agent for mtn bike trips. They are simply a go between and havw worked out a deal on a national scale. Hate to think how much it costs to travel to multiple destinations. I am sure there is a market and I must not be it because I have a hard time wrapping my head around the why part. LOL

There’s two parks ~90 minutes from me on this list, I just don’t get out for park days enough to justify a season pass to either. If I work a shuttle/park day into any weekend trip it makes sense.

Be better if you could have a home resort with unlimited days

Incredible idea. You should pitch this idea to your local bike park! You could call it a “season pass”.

@sfarnum: think you’re missing the point

@h8terbike999: Plenty of ski season passes have reciprocal free days / discounts. Agree that this could be featured as a discounted upsell to season passes for the participating resorts.

@h8terbike999: You want a season pass to your local bike park included with your loam pass. What am I not getting?

Well...cool concept. Ever heard of the gold medallion pass? That is for skiing and was supposedly good at any effing where in the US. This? As a Coloradoan. Not impressed. I may as well buy a time share at Granby Ranch.

Can we go on a heli trip without Christian Pepper?

 Loam? Pass.

3 shuttles and one small resort in Utah. Hard pass. I’ll keep an eye on their future expansion.

 “Loamer? I barely know her!”

Can someone explain the reason behind this?? I mean I get it but two day passes for 250?? How many parks charge 125 per ticket?? Everyone I’ve been to is way less. And if you’re going to advertise discount perks shouldn’t those be relatively huge like 50% off at least??

It’s two days at each resort. Similar to the mountain collective ski pass where you can do two days at Aspen, Jackson Hole, Targhee, etc. More for a road trip scenario than a single park.

makes sense if you're doing a lot of traveling and want to visit multiple in the same trip. It's 2 passes per park so the more you go to, the better the value it becomes. If you ride 15 parks for 2 days each then its a bit over $8 a day for riding. I'm sure the way they sell it to parks is that it is like a marketing expense letting people try a ton of parks to see what they decide on making regular trips to.

Meant to motivate the user to visit multiple parks/shuttle services. Think biking road trip.

Definitely would consider if I was in the mood for a big, biking road trip this summer. Very cool.
