“Sometimes a project gets stuck in your mind. It can make no sense, but you can’t stop thinking about it, until the time comes and you make the dream a reality.”
That was absolutely stunning. I can only dream of doing a mountain biking trip like this some day. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. Until then I will keep watching videos like this!
Without a helicopter it's practicly impossible.Even a helicopter is not an option when it comes into the woods.Or,if they are ready to put a 300 cameras
yeah, well they'd need like 2 teams wouldn't they, one of the current stage that i set up and operating cameras, and then another setting up cameras, and maybe they could get volunteers with a lot of experience, idk, it'd be cool if they could get more footage of riding.
I don't really watch enduro, more of a downhill man, but if it grew even bigger than it is now (which it probably will) and you got gopro in as a sponsor, you probably actually could run 300 cameras. They're selling their cheaper model for $200, so it would probably only cost gopro $100 per camera to make and supply 300 throughout the woods. 100x 300 = 30 grand which sounds like a lot, but if the sport grew big enough and had a big enough audience it could actually be feasible. Also, quadcopters can be used for some great coverage (google perfect line quadcopter if you don't believe me) relatively cheaply.
yes, it would require a relatively hefty investment, but would be rewarded by the growth in profit, from the feeding cycle of more broadcast = more sponsorships. and although the race runs are usually twice as long as the UCI DH WC runs, that would mean you'd only need 4 or 5 times as many people covering the event, a group for the current stage, a group for the "after run" interviews and catching up with the riders, and then another group broadcasting the next stage. It shouldn't be too complicated to produce, yes, there would be rough patches that would need ironing out, but after a season it should chug along quite smoothly
With many strong riders like nico lau, rene wildhaber and many upraising stars martin maes, florian nicolai, joe barnes, yoanna barelli....
Ews is so fascinating...
Of course its always the first year the best, as 2013 got all many downhill and xc stars raced as well
We call it 'Jalur Naga' (dragon lines), even its scary, hard to take a steady walk when the wind blows from the downside. Awesome place, a big mountain with a big volcanic lake. never thought its 'rideable'.
If i can ever find a girl wake up at 2am and hike a bike with me over thousands feet to the top of mountain, she can manage to downhill then i go shred myself and leave her far behind....
She still keep a smiling face in one piece at the bottle, i die for her...i swear
Jeromy and Crew know where is the heaven and how to taste it. I'm indonesian and so proud to Jerome has come to Rinjani. Thanks for the vid. It's FUC**** AWESOME...
holy sh*t!!! he came to Indonesia and nobody seems to know...or is it just me??? i wish i had the time and money to go for a ride like that...damn you lucky bastards...
indonesian people only give their attention to the celebrities and football player..
hahaha...
few days ago Hutchinson UR also came to several big cities in indonesia..hahaha...
Is Jerome a dweeb? Obviously top 5 rider of the times, but just compare him to Richie Rudd or Fabien Barel for example. I'd like PB to do an in depth study with time splits and skills analysis - what makes the top guys fast.
You know you're a beast when your sponsors have products that overlap and compete, but they don't care, they just want your name next to theirs thaaat bad.
Exposed top of the mountain trail? If you count hiking trails to mountain peaks then yes we have a lot.
As far as I know, polygon guys didn't shoot here, only in bali and malang. Obviously they would shoot in Indonesia because of their primary sponsor is based here.
The guy in epictv (Tito Tomassi) did shoot here, although he is a one man army with no dedicated videographer and support team.
good thing hes got a wheel/tire sponsor... i bet he goes through a set of tires each ride. dragging your rear wheel in EVERY corner must be a french thing
not jealous at all, i will never ride as fast as Jerome, and i give him loads of props, but riding like that destroys trails. its different at the bike park where people are paid to fix the trails.

It seems many ppl go there to film for ride, previously polygon and also guys in epictv

Maybe is it the only way to ride in this case ! :/
