After a small hiatus, AT's Showdown is back in Santa Rosa, CA. Right as I showed up Thursday evening, some of the riders were padded up and ready to test the first feature.
Greg Watts giving the first drop a go on the blue line.
Greg and O-Bro dropping in side by side.
After a few drop-ins, everyone agreed that some small changes needed to be made.
AT, Greg and Matt discussing the changes needed. Taller roll in and bigger lip off of the drop. It was going to be a long night of building.
Friday Morning: AT and Greg were on site early and moving the last few jumps into place.
Alex Dunn working on an awesome mural for Saturdays show
The finished art work by Alex Dunn. Everyone loved it.
As the riders started to roll in around lunch time, many were happy to lend a helping hand.
O-Bro testing out the changes that were made the evening before.
After a few practice runs from Greg and O-Bro, the course was ready for practice.
Everyone is ready to ride. Plenty of riders and talent. The final will be filled with laughs and entertainment.
Practice is open and riders are ready to try out the course.
Greg back flipping off the start drop. With the changes made the evening before, you should see plenty of tricks being thrown off the drop.
The man himself, Andrew Taylor squeezing in a little bit of practice. AT and his crew have been working hard all week and the work shows.
The wind started to pick up so it was tough for the riders. When there was a break in the wind, riders would squeeze in a few tricks. Matt Dennis looking smooth out there.
Ryan Nyquist has been spending a lot of time on mountain bikes lately. Looking forward to seeing how he does in finals.
Carson Storch & Connor Gallart flipping the big jump after the drop. You should see plenty of big tricks being thrown here.
Carson making it look easy. Not too much action during practice today as the wind picked up quite a bit. Many of them called it quits early. The finals should be promising tomorrow.
