At the start of 2013, the UK had one of its worse winters in history, and being a bricklayer this was not good. Having fallen in love with downhill only two months prior, I set about figuring out what I would be able to do in the mountain bike industry. Fortunately, my wife Joana is Portuguese and grew up in central Portugal in a quiet town called Lousa. Such a beautiful town, but what really stands out about this quiet mountain town is the amazing downhill tracks and all-mountain trails they have. Having visited Lousa in February 2013, I instantly knew this could be the start of something great. We sold our house in the UK and moved to Lousa at the end of November 2013 getting things ready for the business to go live in January 2014. - Brett Wheeler |

Is there anywhere local to rent bikes? Would make it a lot easier for me, as I hate checking in baggage and don't own a DH sled.
