Transition Patrol Large
$2000 USDI am not going to lie. This bike has scratches and dents. But it's alloy and all superficial. This was a custom build so it's hard to point to an original price, however component wise this is pretty top notch.
27.5 wheels. 160/155 travel.

First Ride: Transition's New Scout Carbon
Also have the first gen Scout and love it. One day it will need to be replaced... Test rode a Gen 2 Scout and did not like it for the same reasons you outlined. I did like the Smuggler, so I suppose that is what I would replace it with.
