Biketrack.org - Fresh Tracks
Biketrack.org have been busy over spring building some fun little tracks just south of Mansfield. The first is Brierley Forest park MTB track which has various features designed to improve and practice key skills such as cornering and pumping. The track is built as a loop with a zig zag climb back to the top allowing riders to stay on their bikes and not having to push up.
The second track is Kirkby in Ashfield BMX track, a small BMX track with 4 straights going downhill meaning that speed is not a problem! The 4 straights are all varying in difficulty from decent sized doubles and triples to smooth rollers. There are 3 large tarmac berms, perfectly shaped to maintain maximum flow (and fun).
These 2 tracks are only a 10 minute drive from each other so it is possible to make a day trip out of it.
