I watched, eagerly expecting the moment of imbalance, the failure of his fledgling technique, then the hint of that terminal rotation that would leave his face carousing with the dust and worms. And yet, there was none. The mystery deepens. But wait, what is this? Such a cruel twist, perhaps not even noticed immediately by the rider as he readied himself for a triumphant return to earth. Then, you can almost see the moment of realisation - perhaps a flashed image in his consciousness of an axle resting, forgotten, on a car seat. And then, nothing but the darkness accelerating towards him.

Industrial ash? If that's his only hill, somebody needs to send that bloke a box of FFP2 masks to wear under his full-face...

On the upside, his inside leg measurement is now an inch longer.
