Tested: Do Short Cranks Work For Tall Riders?

I’m in the same boat as you. I built up a new MTB earlier this season with 170mm cranks, but after three rides swapped the crank to a 175mm version. I think part of the issue is I have 9 other bikes, all with 175mm cranks, so switching on one bike simply feels weird. If I go shorter, I’m going to need to do it on all my bikes, not just one.

@TylerG96: If you liked the fit of the Century, the Strada KinetiCore should be a great option. Aside from the KinetiCore, the two helmets are very similar. (I have both)

Excuse me… I misspoke. I should have said “slightly more leverage on the damper…” Sorry for my confusion. I do think it’s a different rocker link though, even if only slightly.

Bike Check: Vali Höll's Trek Fuel EX - Sea Otter 2021

I believe the rocker linkage is slightly different than the one on my 2021 Fuel EX 9.9. That’s likely how she’s getting the extra 10mm of travel. It looks like the seatstays have slightly less leverage on the damper, if my eyes aren’t deceiving me.
