 It's near Guillaumes, it's called "Terres grises" and there is also a similar spot near Digne les bains, under the "Pic de Couard" mountain (called "Terres noires").

 I believe he bought a huge land and built his house on it, so the entire mountain side is his backyard, that's where he ride mostly.

 He is from Blaussac, near Nice. I don't know if he still lives here. Anyway this area is one of the greatest on earth for MTB.
