First impression of the Diverse dueler shock.[P=//lp1.pinkbike.com/p4pb5287411/p4pb5287411.jpg size=m align=c][/P]

After allot of waiting due to delays at the customs house because of a working strike, i finally got the shipment of Diverse shocks. And as happy as i was back then i mounted one on my Banshee legend mk2 right away. And i noticed huge difference already just by pushing down the suspension. There was less stiction in the dueler compared to the original rc4 that i have had since march.

Riding:
Of i went to my local favorite dh trails. immediately i felt that more was happening down there than it did with the rc4. Bumps i remember as being a pain before, i almost did not feel now. It felt so incredibly smooth over the rocky on rooty sections. It made the trip so much more enjoyable than i have ever had on the rc4. I think the rc4 has to much stiction and air comp inn it to be sensitive enough for the lower leverage frames. The rc4 is not a bad shock at all. It just did not do it for me on the legend frame. Think it needs special shims for the legend frame. Do not think i am bad talking the other shock or any other. The dueler just works better on the legend from my experience on it. Have tested others also.

overall i think the dueler shock is an awesome upgrade for any dh rig out there. I am so happy with mine even though i have not had it for very long but on the trips i have had on it so far it is the best shock i have had so far. really small bump sensitive. progressive in the end of the travel. Can be adjusted with the prc adjuster on the piggyback. The dueler really keeps you stuck to the ground, it almost felt like getting new tires after riding on old and worn tires. The entire bike felt better with this shock. Almost like a totally new bike, a better new bike.

Adjustments:
The adjustments on the shock i feel is spot on for my riding. No stupidly long adjustment on the rebound that makes the shock use 20 seconds literally to return to full length on full rebound. No frame on this planet has the need for that slow rebound. The dueler has exactly the range of rebound adjustment that you need. If you want it even slower there is an option with a longer rebound needle that gives it more rebound and also aiding in more compression.

The hi and lo speed comp adjustments are a really nice edition to this shock. It gives just the right range of adjustment to satisfy every one who tries it. And the difference in adjustments is really noticeable.

Bottom out control via schrader valve & optional prc knob ( prc knob only on 9.5" and 10.5" ) The bottom out can as mentioned either be adjusted by adding more air in the piggyback by a shock pump ( 120psi-180psi ). Or by adjusting on the prc knob. And The adjustments have a noticeably range. Something that is nice for the freerider or the heavier rider. Dh racers usually have these on the minimum unless the track has huge drops and such.

Quality:
The quality on the shock is really good. The adjuster knobs feel of real quality. All can be adjusted without any tools. Witch is really nice for those quick adjustments on the track, where you dont want to be fiddling with tools and such when your buddy's are waiting for you.

This shock is a really nice edition to the shock world and pack a good punch in ride quality and feel. It does its intended job, really well. And for the price with Ti spring. What else is there to say.. Oh i know. Get one Smile From all the days i have ridden on it, It has given me a wider smile than ever before. It made me repeat the dh track over and over again, every time i went there, cuz of the nice feel it gave me.

More to come in the end of the summer.
