Just want to say thank you for sharing your perspective Emilie, and also for showing your support. It's great to hear from someone actually competing in this space, this is how minds are changed. Good luck tomorrow!!!

Review: Forbidden's New High Pivot Trail Bike - the 2019 Druid
@deadmeat25: throwing your bike on the ground and seeing the cranks move isn't really telling you much, you are just shaking your whole bike around. I also don't buy the argument that the freehub "bounces" back causing pedal kickback. The reason nobody is running 2 chains is because you lose any anti squat from chain growth. I don't think there is any conspiracy against floating brakes either. High pivot bikes don't experience brake jack they experience brake squat, which is actually useful for balancing the geometry of the bike. If you eliminate brake squat with a floating brake the bike will pitch forward under braking way more.

Review: Forbidden's New High Pivot Trail Bike - the 2019 Druid
I don't think you understand the graph, you might be thinking of a graph showing the forces rather than leverage ratio. The leverage ratio is getting lower as it goes through the travel, meaning it takes more force to compress the shock as it gets deeper into it's travel. This linkage is quite progressive especially for a 130mm bike.

How would the lower chain pull the pedals backward? The derailleur eats up any chain growth on the lower chain and when the upper chain is routed by the main pivot there's no chain growth there and no kickback.

First Look: Trust Performance's $2,700 Carbon Fiber Linkage Fork
Looks so good I think! Futuristic without looking ridiculous. There are a ton of potential benefits to this design as they say so if it works well this could be a huge innovation in mountain bikes. Price is a lot but that's what you get for a first generation product that is full carbon and pretty complex. Just the fact that you get rid of bushing bind and are able to have some leverage is huge. Anti-dive and improved handling are just icing on the cake really. I wonder if there is an optimal head angle this thing is designed around?

Burning Question: Is Super Boost 157 Spacing Going to Become the New Standard?
So pathetic this industry. Should have been 157 to begin with instead of making a new standard. Same with 27.5, should have gone straight to 29er. New standards for no reason that are gone within a few years.
