For your consideration, a 58cm Civilian Vive Le Roi. Reasons you may want this bike: you want a steel frame with modern features like disc brakes, tapered head tube, and oval chainring. You want a versatile frame that is comfortable with flat or drop bars, slick or knobby tires, has decent tire clearance, has sliding dropouts to run single speed. You want something comfortable for a long day in the saddle but can still get a little rowdy. Reasons you may not want this bike: it’s 4130 steel and you are looking for something nicer like Reynolds 853. You place a high premium on weight (25.4 lbs currently). You aren’t interested in a press-fit bottom bracket (FWIW, I have a Wheels MFG bottom bracket I can include that threads together and claims to alleviate many press-fit BB problems. It converts to 24-mm spindle diameter, so you’d need a different crank as the current one is 30 mm). Details: Civilian Vive Le Roi 58 cm frame, built from 4130 steel. Carbon fork. QR front and rear. 650b clearance is about 55mm front and probably under 50mm rear, 700c clearance probably more like 45 front and 42 rear. Currently has 700x40 Kenda Happy Mediums on some Felt wheels. SRAM Apex 1x11 shifters and rear derailleur, Force crank with 44-tooth Absolute Black oval chainring, 11-36 cassette. TRP Spyre brakes (bit of surface rust on the adapter bolts you can see, if that bugs you I can find some that are not rusty). Salsa Cowbell 3 bars currently not wrapped, but have some bar tape I’m happy to put on if you would like it. Can also include Brooks B15 Swallow saddle, Time ATAC pedals and cleats. Can swap out the Brooks for a Fizik Arione VS too. Chicago area. Willing to split shipping or meet locally.
