Your jeans must be this tight to ride this fast. Dual slalom qualifying with Martin Soderstrom.
Caught red handed: Rachel Atherton was seen selecting "the" spot to deposit this banana peel during dual slalom qualifying.
The berms are DEEP on Sea Otter's Dual Slalom track, and Cam Cole is NOT a small dude.
Cheek pads a bit tight, Troy?
Luke Strobel digging into some bermilicious goodness during dual slalom practice.
Adam Craig tried to qualify for the dual slalom aboard a fat bike, but it wasn't happening. So he went out and raced the XC instead.
Spy vs Spy: Joe Smith and Matt Simmonds of Chain Reaction Cycles going head to head for bragging rights during qualifying.
Annika Langved leading out Marianne Vos on the last bit of singletrack for the Elite Women's XC race - Vos pounced as soon as the race veered onto the Laguna Seca Speedway and took the win by 9 seconds. I think the Elite Women's XC peloton just got a new sheriff.
Miguel Marinez of FRM on track for a win in the Men's Elite XC race at the Sea Otter.
Adam Craig: Failure to qualify aboard the fat bike just gave him more time to tear up the local singletrack.
The Dirty Sixer. 36 inch wheels? Only for the likes of Lebron James and company. I hope.
Everything's better with lube.
A WTF sighing at Sea Otter.
Words elude me.
Caroline Mani representing during the Raleigh sponsored CX race by taking the win for the Elite Women.
Another "W" for Raleigh in CX with Ben Berden dancing over the barricades.
Cash hand-ups to the stragglers in the Men's Elite CX race. If you're lucky, you may just make enough to cover the entry fees and have enough left over for a beer.
DH racing with the hardtail class. Kinda funny to think that at one time this was all we had. Thank God we evolved (except for the Trek Y bike--not sure why that creation ever graced the earth).
Dual slalom finals: aka the main event today. Peaty put on a clinic in winning from the very first round of the dual slalom. 37 years old and putting the wood to the young 'uns right up until the final round. Even his own teammate Ratboy fell to the Sheffield Steel.
CG: always smooth, but he washed out in the second round, which is too bad, as the crazy French man is always good for a show.
Nice to see that the National Ski Patrol was on hand here at the dual slalom.
Aussie vs. Aussie: Graves taking out Atkinson.
Graves with the win over Peaty in the final round... This makes it two Sea Otter DS titles for Graves. Peaty put up a fantastic show, and it's a bit of a downer that he just didn't have enough horses to edge out Graves.
Didn't matter that Graves got the "W", though; Peaty got loads of attention anyway. It's not often that you see a 60 year old man beat on the the kids racing these days...
How many guys can say they will be riding as fast or as good at peatys age ? He is still one hell of a good racer and even nicer guy , iv raced with him in the uk and drank beer with him in whistler ,, say no more peaty rocks
