Giant Trance X "M"

$850 GBP
2010 Giant Trance X **UPGRADED** Satin Silver/Blue Medium Frame 18” I have owned this incredible bike from new and have made several essential upgrades as my riding has improved and demanded better parts. The Giant Trance X range all use the same frame from X5 to X1 it is just the parts on the bike that are different and the odd lick of paint. When I bought the bike it was a Trance X4 therefore the frame incorporates this into its paint job, however, this bike is like no other X4! It has better suspension parts and setup than the X1, if you don’t believe me see the list of upgrades below: UPGRADES Forks RockShox Revelation Team Dual Air 150mm Front Hub Hope Pro II Shock Fox Float RP23 (5.0 Maestro Floating Pivot) With Pro Pedal Tyres Schwalbe Racing Ralph 26 X 2.25 (2 months old) Stem Nuke Proof Warhead Grips Ritchey Ergo Grip Seat Post Nuke Proof Seat Nuke Proof Brake Discs Front: 203mm (upgraded from 180mm) Rear: 180mm (upgraded from 160mm) Chainset Shimano Deore Hollowtech Here is the bike and spec in standard form from the Giant website (don’t forget about the upgrades I mentioned above: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/trance.x4/4868/39077/ STANDARD Rims WTB XC Speed Disc (24mm wide aluminium alloy) Handle Bar Giant Connect Shifters Shimano Deore 27 Speed Front Derailleur Shimano Deore Rear Derailleur Shimano Deore Shadow Brake Levers Shimano Alivio Pedals I have removed the pedals to use on my other bike as they suited my riding style. I will find and fit the standard Giant ones if you want a test ride. History & Maintenance I have put a lot of love into this bike ever since the first day of ownership and it is regularly commented on as to how clean it is. Always the cleanest bike in the bike shop when in for a service! The Trance has been maintained at no expense spared (seriously) by DJ Cycles of Ramsbottom, if you are local to the area and know Darren who owns the shop you will know he is a very honest and knowledgeable chap and if you wish to ask him about the Trance just refer to this as “Dan with the Trance”. He will know who I am and could tell you more about the history of my bike face to face. Alternatively I am happy to answer any questions you have, just drop me an email. I have ridden this bike on average once a week and regularly attend trail centres and local trails with friends on a Sunday. I have also done a two XC races on the Trance at Lee Quarry in Bacup. The Trance is extremely fast on descents and can handle any jump or turn that is on the trail. When others need to slow down for these “hazards” the bike seriously can handle it. If you are a fairly competent rider you will appear better than you actually are when descending on this bike because of the increased travel the upgraded suspension allows you to have. Going up hills is easy as the front and rear suspension have lockout functions (rear also has pro pedal). Condition The Trance is a very clean bike indeed and has the usual marks associated with 2 years of biking. None of the marks are major and in no way take away the aesthetics or function of the bike. It is in sound condition and I believe will require very little maintenance in the near future. I have just had new items installed on the bike due to wear and tear which are the main parts of the bike that need replacing with time i.e. tyres and chainset (crank, cassette and chain) at a cost of £170. I have taken several pictures of the Trance and have posted them in the links below. I could list certain marks the bike has but it means nothing if you can’t see them. So, here are the pictures as up close as I could get them. I want you to be happy with your new Trance so I am giving you more than enough information/pictures for you to make an informed decision. Viewing You are more than welcome to come and view the bike at the times below in the area of Haslingden, Lancashire: Mon-Fri: 6.45pm - 8.30pm Sat-Sun: 9am – 9pm I will need 24 hours notice, otherwise I may not be able to accommodate you at the time you need. You may have a test ride on the bike on the street outside the house but only if it is not raining and/or the road surface is dry. I have put a lot of effort into cleaning the bike for the future owner and don’t have the time to clean the bike to this high standard after every test ride. Payment Terms Cash on collection. Pickup The best time for pickup is Mon-Fri 6.45pm – 8.30pm. Delivery I am prepared to deliver the bike but a charge of £1 per mile will need paying to the courier in cash on delivery. Delivery charge will apply from Haslingden, Lancashire. Any questions please ask. Dan
