The Kona Team is kicking off the season with Connor Fearon welcoming new teammate Andrew Crimmins for the first round of Downhill Nationals at Eagle Mountain Bike Park in Adelaide, South Australia, this weekend.

Sixteen-year-old downhill up-and-comer Andrew Crimmins joins the Kona Team with big goals and large aspirations. From Bredbo, New South Wales, Australia, the 2013 U17 Australian National Series winner, Australian National Champion, and 16-18 Crankworx Canadian Open winner is looking forward to progressing up to the next level, racing the Junior World Cup circuit in 2014. Look for Crimmins to be a top contender for a spot on the Australian Junior Worlds Team to race the World Champs in Norway

bigquotesI am really stoked for my first season on the world scene and I couldn't be happier to be on the Kona Team. The bike feels so awesome, I've already gotten my first win on it in December. Connor and I have a blast pushing each other's limits - 2014 will be an awesome year racing bikes. - Andrew Crimmins

Coming off of his first season as a senior Elite World Cup downhiller, one that was full of ups and downs, Connor Fearon finished an impressive 10th place at the World Cup Finals in Leogang, Austria, and 25th overall World Cup ranking. More motivated than ever, Connor will be looking to push his way into consistent top 10 finishes throughout this year’s World Cup circuit.

bigquotesI am glad to be working with the Kona Team for a third year. The team's support is amazing and having Andrew as a teammate is absolutely rad. Andrew and I definitely will feed of one another on the tracks and this will be a big step foward. He's such a talented rider, I can't wait for World Cup season to start. - Connor Fearon

Andrew and Connor are racing on the carbon Supreme Operator, one of the lightest downhill bikes on the circuit. They will be competing in all the World Cups and will join the rest of the Kona Team for Crankworx.
