I know the music debate is getting as old as the wheel size debate, but christ can we knock this robot sex crap off and get back to some good ole fashion metal or just something that doesn't sound like two hard drives fighting a bluray player?!
Were old man....... I thought no way will I ever say "kids and their music today" ........... I mean my music is good, it's hip music........ now Im 30 and wondering why kids listen to computers malfunctioning and call it music ......
its personal preference stop being gimps! you make a video you choose what song to put in it! get with the times music changes get over it!! shut up bitching end of does my f;in head in!!!
Im not bitching, I have a broad musical taste an I don't mind dubstep as a genre. But as with anything some of it's terrible. Im just joking around, relax dude
Dubstep is so f*cking boring, it's like all the producers have got together and decided to all release the exact same tune just chopped up a bit different with the odd vocal sample. Today's sample is 'shut up' if you missed it btw.
I've loved electronic music for 20+ years - drum and bass, electro, techno, trance, whatever - but now I understand why my parents used to say it all sounds the same...
thats why my taste in music has changed from iron maiden when i was 16 through everything now to house! because it gets boring!
thats why mountain biking is always fun, its constantly different everytime i ride!
i am understanding why people come up with this, because many vids here on pinkbike come with dubstep
and i find that enoying music too, dont get me wrong i listen to enoying music too, but theres just nothing
to listening to tracks like these, music just needs to be good, no matter if its metal rock pop or just electronic,
maybe next year drop an no dubstep allowed icon for the sender and everybodys happy
Come on guys why are we fighting over something as trivial as musical preferences we should be tackling the big problems of the world like wheel sizes.
Cant we just get a little Kelly Clarkson's Sound of Music? Is that too much to ask?!? "The hills are alive with the sound of super dialed hubs" (insert best singing voice).
but music these days (not just dubstep) has lost its passion and meaning. prime example. eat sleep rave repeat. they dont make songs like black label society-in this river anymore
at lickabelips, that argument i heard many times, but i am quite a musicfreak and maybe its subjective because everyone has a diffrent taste but that does say many people have a bad taste you dumpaz, i dont think there are many music TALENTS doing dubstep and i tell you man, good music is just rare just like you have rare top riders back to the 90 ties you bijtch radiorama represent, paintings are also subjective, but some people like some bottle of paint fallen on the ground compare that to
some painting masters painting a whole market with all the people busy in the morning light
@jordanneedsafork - just checked out Black Label Society, In This River. That intro sounds exactly like something else, and now it's going to bug me for the rest of the day. Thanks
Funny, I actually put my headphones on, listened for 5 seconds, decided no one was going to actually say anything and took my headphones off. This was before reading the comments about how annoying dub-step is, or how awesome sweaty metal is, or how my mute button works. Honestly, I should have known better because this was clearly a commercial targeting people who come on pinkbike everyday looking to consume something, anything, to satisfy their winter woes. I was hoping it would be a segment highlighting how awesome it was to be a part of building the Icon Sender, instilling in our PB masses that hard work is worth aspiring to. Is there a builder video that has dub-step in it?
Everybody is freaking out about the music! Just try to keep an open mind for once. Just enjoy the video itself, a variety of music can be a good refresher, were all here for the love of bicycles anyways, not music. This is coming from a person who listens to everything from Metallica to Deadmau5...
I agree (to some extent) the video is the more important bit and there is always someone who likes a song or the band/artist/DJ would not be in bussiness. It is a shame that this is a bad example of the genre but if the production team wanted to please everyone they would have put some boring pop on, and no one wants that. and yeah bikes then music. thats how I live. this is comming from a guy who listens to everything from Fleshgod Apocalpse to Vivaldi to Skrillex (only occasionally skrillex though)
To all the people complaining about the music.. When you make better videos than the guys putting (crappy) music in their videos, fine you can choose different music but until then shut your mouth
Oakley sender: let's build a big f*ck off jump that hardly no one hits,, yeah it was impressive to see that flip off there but the comp as a whole was gash,,I'd like more smaller features down the whole mountain side so you see more jumps tricks etc instead of just bimbling down hit the big gap then ride to the bottom,, some of the urban downhill has been better to watch!!
The comp as whole was gash???!!! f*ck me I dunno what you watched, this year was the most insane rampage ever. If you want lots of small features and more tricks go watch a slopestyle comp.
i thought we as a society had realized dubstep sucks and had moved on to trap... guess not here's hoping someone makes an edit with a Diplo or Gent+Jawns track or something
get with the times music changes get over it!! shut up bitching end of does my f;in head in!!!
