 I like LG1+ better.

Only so many ways you can make a chain guide without it looking like another one. How would you do it differently, dhdeven?
It's slim, light, strong and effective...pretty much builds itself.

Does E.13 have any copyrights on its LG!+?! Its the exact same thing!
  • 2 0
I massively prefer the LG1+ . They don't look that similar the top chain guide bit of the LG1 is a lot chunkier.

lol getting bored of MRP ripping E.13 off every year

Pinkbike's covering some good shit! We want more!!

I think the LG1+ looks like the G2. Didn't MRP come out with the G2 before e13 came out with the LG1+?

I personally like both the e-13 LG1 and the MRP G2. They both look awesome.

all the same comments that where said before when PB showed the new gravity chain device . . . yes it looks like and LG1 big deal they all have their differences . . .all bikes have two wheels and a frame but doesnt mean every bike is identical right???
  • 1 3
Shadow.... shut up and let as argue please
  • 3 1
Greenwood get a life! why would you choose to argue with other bikers about a chain device?? seriously get out and ride!!!
  • 1 3
I do i was out for 5 hours yesterday. But i go back to school now so i cant :/
  • 2 2
lol I love the "get out and ride" one, just because his knowledge of bikes stretches beyong "they go forward" doesnt mean he doesnt ride

guys lets get real, they're chainguides, they're all going to look similar.. cool product
  • 2 3
The new MRP guides don't just look similar to the E.13 guides, they look almost identical. Look at old MRP guides and you'll see why a lot of people are saying that the new guide is a blatant copy of E.13.

i made my own version of a e13 lg1 ..i cost me like 5$ worth of PVC...an oldrear derailleur for parts and a bit of elbow grease....doesnt look as sharp, but like mongoosemaniac said ''no one cares what chain guide they have as long as it does the job!
..the funny thing, is that the one i made is actually quieter and just as stiff as my e13...

 Pics or it didn't happen!

Chainguides are a bit like chains - after some point, you cant really destinct one from each other, everybody´s "stealing" from each. So at some point it comes down to taste and that´s where I, personally, tend to buy different brands and support smaller brands. In this case, straitline´s silent guide should be a good alternative if you´re like me Smile

A chain watcher that requires either a proprietary frame mount (ISCG, Shimano direct mount) or disassembly of the crankset (E-mount) is a waste of time and money.

How simple would it have been to attach a 1.x to a seat tube clamp? I've waited 6 months for MRP to do it, and this is what they come out with?

e13 has a chance to trump MRP by doing this with their XCX chain watcher. If not, the only legitimate product on the market is still the Paul's Chain Keeper.

i have a cut dowt mrp system one, no bash, no guide plates, it runs silently and has never dropped a chain, my e*13 clattered like a granny falling down some stairs and my friends occasionally dropped a chain, i massively prefer my mrp. though my e.13 chainring is yummy. would give some of the fingers from my left hand for a carboncage tho

I like these new guides from MRP, but I wish they would show some new duel ring guides as well. I personally like having a duel ring setup on my all mountain as opposed to running a third ring or a single ring only.

I liked it when MRP guides had the silver bash guards and orange rollers. They were so distinct back then, now they're just E.13 knockoffs.
  • 3 0
I've got an old mrp silver bash guard with the orange rollers Smile
  • 1 1
I wouldn't go as far as to say that they're knockoffs, they're probably responding to the market, but I do miss the orange too. Then again, I don't know.
  • 1 0
i think the new lopes guide will be on a lot of 4x bikes due to being so light. wonder what msrp is on it and when will it be availabe
  • 3 1
e.13 ripoff as always. Still not as good looking as e.13.
  • 1 0
They looks nice, I like the graphics. I think some assorted colors would be a good selling point.

 looks sweetSmile

more product whoring from Lopes.why anyone would pay money to have that jackasses name on a part of your bike is beyond me.
  • 2 0
You probably don't pay much more for his name. Only reason his name is on it is because he is a sponsored rider and has been with them for as long as I can remember and I'm assuming that they felt it was due time to give him a signature addition. But I think MRP is the name you are really paying for over Brian Lopes. Plus It looks like a good product, It is extremely light and does its job. I like it.
