Where's the Shock? Bold Cycles' Unplugged Prototype - Sea Otter 2018
No one ever asked: could I hide my unsightly rear shock if I am willing to make working on my suspension much more difficult? Bold, however, has boldly answered the question: yes you can!

Alchemy bikes, I love what you're doing. I make more than 98% of Americans, but I need to save up for one of your bikes. But once I can afford it, I'm in!

Scott Ransom

$225 USD
Scott Ransom frame (165mm travel) in good condition. Bought it off Pinkbike to throw my C-team parts on, but it's too small for me (I'm 5'10"). With a 50mm stem and a 160mm fork, it would make an excellent aggressive trail bike for someone who is 5'4" to 5'8". Frame only (including travel adjust remote), sold as is. No parts shown in pictures are included. Ground shipping within the continental US is on me. Want it faster or farther, shipping's on you.

Cane Creek DB AIR - 8" x 2.25"

$200 USD
The stock DU bushings on my trusty Cane Creek DB Air finally wore out (it's a 2011 model, but I don't ride as much as I once did). I went to the shop for replacements, and impulse bought a Cane Creek Inline because I wanted to try the climb switch. The good news is that the climb switch works quite well. The bad news (for me) is that the climb switch wasn't worth $500. Not even close. But that's good news (for you) if you're looking for an outstanding 8" x 2.25" rear shock, because I'm looking to limit the cost of my spontaneous purchase. The shock is in good shape. I never had any problems with it. To the contrary; once I had it dialed in it was the best shock I ever owned. You'll need new DU bushings and hardware that fits your frame. I have some extra hardware (i.e., the axles for the bushings and the spacers) that I would throw in (no guarantee it will fit your frame). I'll pay ground shipping within the U.S.. If you're on Easter Island or you want it tomorrow, shipping's on you.
