Anyone running a ccdb had any problems with the coil rubbing the shock body? I know it's nothing new but is there a cure?

That rub drove me nuts the past few days in Whistler. Had to rent a carbon Wilson after breaking the lower pivot axle on the v10c. The rub from the spring made a squeak at each compression. Tightening the preload collar helped a bit.

I have minor rub on mine dawg. Its nothing major Im sure. It also more with Ti springs. I think Ti has slightly smaller ID vs. steel CC springs...

Yeah I got this pretty bad on my demo, doesn't do any damage, just looks a bit dodgy!

Nah looked closer and realised the black bit that's marking is just a plastic sleeve that covers the gold ano of the body, presumably to take the hit.

I haven't even looked that close - but take your word for it!.. main thing is tho - are you happy with how it feels / holds the ground?...

Usually the ti springs will do that, I cut the plastic sleeve off of the shock body and it will usually stop

Do you have the plastic sleeve on it?

Ahh ok is the black plastic on the body there for that reason? Thought you meant sleeve on spring.

You could tie a piece of string around the stanchion/shaft so it gets pushed down when the shock compresses.
