For the first time in the UCI history, the Enduro MTB competition featured a Trophy of Nations. Among the 24 teams present in the italian town of Finale Ligure, and although Portugal did not send any official team, the Miranda Racing Team formation was present in the Industry Trophy category.

While it happened in parallel with the World Champion title’s and jersey’s contention, this Industry category was featured in the presence of Jerome Clementz, Fabien Barel or Matti Lehikoinen. Miranda Racing Team contended the title with Tiago Ladeira (PT), Alex Cure (FR) and Jonas Demuylder (BE) in replacement of the injured athlete, José Borges.

After finishing the EWS 2019 with a brilliant 3rd place, Tiago Ladeira entered this competition in a more relaxed but always competitive way. The Portuguese once again demonstrated his value in the 5 special tests (approximately 60 kms long) that made up the competition.

The Miranda Racing Team would secure the 5th position among the 22 teams present. In the end, Ladeira as “team captain” commented: “With Borges' injury and Karim's absence, things got complicated until the day of the competition. We ended up with an young Belgian rider and the result was downright positive. Overall it was good for the team, it was a good training for us and above all a great party for the lovers of this sport. The organization was great, the place is one of the most beautiful in Europe and we ended the international season in a great fashion.”
