Pinkbike Poll: Are Your Local Trails Challenging Enough?
I don't know about Fairfield county, but there are lots of good options north of Hartford area, not a ton of vertical but plenty of tech and gnar with punchy short climbs/descents and funky manmade features here and there. Moved here from CO 2 years ago, thought my riding days were all but over, but can honestly say I ride more than ever now, my riding skills have improved with all the techy stuff her, and I've got a smile on my face every time I go out. Could do without the mosquitoes...

First Look: Race Face Turbine / Easton Haven Dropper Post
Maybe this is a stupid question, but with the proliferation of dropper posts, why hasn't a frame been designed that would just incorporate the dropper into the frame's seat tube? Seems like it would save weight and cost?

Interview: Cam Zink Brings YT to North America
Small shops would be wise to embrace YT's distribution model. Not having to have the huge overhead associated with stocking a full run of different styles and sized bikes should alleviate a major barrier to operations for local shops. Then they can pay less rent for smaller shops too, and focus on maintenance and service. Besides, If i'm paying $5-6k for a new rig Im gonna want a specific frame and build, not just what they happen to have kicking around the shop. So I'm probably gonna have to have the shop order it direct anyway. I just end up paying a 30-50% surcharge for the shop to make the phone call. YTs way could be better for everyone.
