The Complete Guide to the 2019 World Cup DH Teams
Great questions. Does the old adage 'Race on Sunday Sell on Monday' still hold true? Given how good bikes are these days [even small brands], I think rider and team experience trump and the Athertons will be competitive straight away. The Gwin story will be interestingly similar as both riders' brands are now local. All testing, prototyping, and communication can now be done in-house, real time. Imagine this versus an Aussie based rider on a European brand made in Asia. I think it could be quite a competitive advantage.

Review: Syntace's Smart-Map Gripper & Lupine's Piko Lighting Combo
@Poulsbojohnny: Motorcycles (and road bicycles) are completely different than MTB. I'm constantly navigating around cities, back roads, into mountains and valleys. Navigation is essential, especially for looking up nearby places to eat or just wondering what the bloody hell is around me at the moment.

@wako29: Clean and good price, but don't you have to use their proprietary stems?

Performance to Close All Remaining Stores, Over 95 ASE Employees Laid Off
I reckon it will come full circle, with independent contractors filling the needs. Apps like Velotooler might become more popular, or shared community spaces in urban areas. Keep in mind this is mostly an American issue. Go to the Netherlands, Japan, China or most anywhere in the world where cycling is popular, and wages and services aren't so unbalanced, and you'll find traditional shops and services alive and well.

No cables, no cable stretch or lube, no internal tubing, less frame bosses, less rattling etc. It may not be simpler to manufacture, but its simpler for the rider.

UCI Aiming for 5 Round Snow Downhill World Cup in 2020
@tornateo: So lil Snowshoe in backwoods West Virginia and Windham MTB park can afford the fees, but the huge mega resorts in CO, UT, CA etc. cannot? Vail Resorts alone probably generates more revenue than the entire UCI calendar combined. UCI is Eurocentric and has limited slots for NA stops...maybe the truth is most of these resorts probably already have concerts or other events those weekends that generate more income, so downhill gets a pass...
