The track at Skibowl/Mt. Hood changed so much over the weekend. Lots of dust and more exposed rocks led to some unsuspecting crashes. Luke Strobel kept an experienced head on his shoulders as he knew how the track would evolve. Matt Orlando put down a killer run for 2nd after having a mishap in qualifying. Phil Kmetz came over from the east coast, and despite looking incredibly fast, had a couple crashes in the final.

Luke will stay ahead in the points series and will be heading down to Mammoth for National Champs this weekend. Stay tuned for more coverage from Nationals!

Love raw footage!!... when the audio is consistent from clip to clip. Definitely looks like a gnarly course though

Exactly...no slow motion, no fast motion, no music, no over caffeinated announcers, just racers and some semi rowdy fans.

No one crashes quite like Chaz, it always carries such intent.

Unsuspecting crashes. Yep, those crashes never saw it coming. Pinkbike should consider hiring an editor.

Shout out for the ladies!! oh wait.. there was not ladies in the vid.. Sick riding though!

Shelby Riley, the Women's Pro Open winner, is in there for about four seconds at 1:34. They showed her on a smooth jump and didn't even put her name on the screen. I also would love to have seen more footage of the ladies in action.

they rarely if ever cover non-pro riders too. @ericashley sets the bar for great race reporting imo, ex: m.pinkbike.com/news/race-report-nw-cup-round-3-skibowl-mt-hood-2015.html
