What is the Muddbunnies Race Team M.O?

Muddbunnies Racing’s number one goal isn’t only about racing. It’s about creating a positive impact on the cycling community and being fantastic role models, giving back to the sport that we love. Team members spend much of their spare time promoting and participating in community events, leading rides, and generally providing information and direction to women who want to get into the sport.

One of the main objectives of the Muddbunnies Race Team is to promote women’s participation in the sport of cycling, creating a positive community for women to not only participate, but excel in the sport. We provide amateur Mountain bikers and cyclists with a community in order to facilitate fun and successful racing.

Our expectations for the upcoming season include, but are not limited to: bagging provincial and state titles, top-five podium placing, meeting personal goals, challenging ourselves and having a really great time racing.

All of the Muddbunnies Race Team members contribute their skills and expertise to create a successful team environment.

Am I a good fit for the Team?

Regardless if this is your first ever season of racing or if you are a seasoned pro, you'll find a great community with the Muddbunnies Race Team. Many of you want to be part of an amazing community of women who mountain bike. A community of women to train and race with. This atmosphere of encouragement and support produces results and is, let's be honest, a ton of fun!

Many of the team members have experience with racing and therefore understand what is involved. We know how scary it can be and how important it is to have the support to get you through the season. Everything from what you need to do before race season begins to the actual day of your race, the team will be there for you. If you want to be a part of an organized, supportive and fun group of women then the Muddbunnies Race Team is for you!

Ok, you’ve got my ear, tell me more…

One Team, Several Chapters

Once again, the Muddbunnies Race Team will be structured into small 'chapters' based on geographical location – or you can choose to race as an Individual. Each chapter will have its own team leader who will work closely with the team coach, Jaclyn, to put on a series of training rides to help you get the most out of your season.

**If you are already a group of ladies who want to form your own chapter – Please let us know when you fill out the application. We will contact you to find out the names of the ladies in your chapter – please ensure all ladies fill out the application!

Geographical Chapter examples:
-BC Mainland
-Florida, USA
-Quebec, CA
-Yours?**

If you are a part of one Chapter, it doesn’t mean you can’t still race in a different area! We will encourage lots of 'cross-chapter' racing! Those who wish to race as Individuals will not have Team Tent / Banner / etc at the races – however, you will still reap the benefit from our sponsors and have the opportunity to be a part of all the team events, clinics, weekend rides, etc.

Goal Building

Get stoked and into the race spirit with an initial consult with the Team Coach, Jaclyn Delacroix from Ozmosis Training. Jaclyn will take the time to evaluate your current training program and help you head in the right direction to achieve your race goals for 2018.

Team Training Days

Join us for some early season training to get you ready for your events during the MB Spring Training Camp! We will also have monthly weekend training days for the early months of 2018 (weather permitting) to get you ready for your race season. In 2018 we will continue concentrating on more structured training to help MB Race Team members work on specific skills to make them more competitive on the race track.
