Specialzed Status II w/ Upgrades

$1100 USD
$1100 OBO Super fun and snappy DH bike that I have put some upgraded parts on. Shimano Zee Brakes Diety Bars Spank Spike Pedals (also have a set of Crank Brother Mallet DH) Rockshox Boxxer Fox Van RC Shock Like new Magic Mary tire in front Specialized Butcher tire in back Still has stock 1x9 drive train w/ bash guard I moved from a 27.5 trail bike to this and loved it. Its light and pedals very well for a DH bike. Its quick and snappy. Perfect for the bike park and Tahoe trails. The bike is in good shape with only cosmetic damage. The components are in good shape. I have not given her a good start of the season tune yet so the brakes could use a bleed. I am also selling the other items shown: -Dakine Truck Pad (Large) holds 7 bikes with straps and up to 9 bikes w/out If you are interested in any of the other items along with the bike let me know and I will make you a deal. If you have a reasonable offer lets talk. If you have questions or want more photos shoot me a text or call.

Dakine Truck/Tailgate Pad (Large)

$80 USD
Large Dakine Truck/Tailgate Pad. In great shape, few dirt marks on the exterior of the pad from being used but nothing on inside felt that goes against paint of truck. Will fit any full sized truck, I had it on a Tundra. Had velcro loops to hold 7 bikes but I have fit as many as 9 bikes while shuttling. If you have a truck this is the best and easiest system to use. Highly recommended over a rack system. If you have any questions let me know.

Brain Injuries in Mountain Biking - Are We Doing Enough?
Everyone who rides knows that there are inherent dangers. A big part of that is what fuels us, pushing to our limits and getting the adrenaline going. But everybody has to know their bodies and listen to what they are saying. A small bump on the head may not seem like much at the time but if it is followed quickly by another the consequences can go through the roof. I grew up with a guy who took a solid hit on the football field and decided to go back in a few plays later. He delivered the hit on the next play and made it back to the sideline to collapse into a massive brain hemorrhage. Watching a buddy almost die puts things in perspective. A year later a doctor told me I needed to stop playing due to my own head injuries and his words carried a lot more weight then. I'm not saying we need to ride around in a bubble suit but listen to what your body is telling you. Sometimes calling it a day can seem like the hard choice but being healthy to ride again should be an easy one.
