Nov 15, 2017Demo 8 Carbon 26"
$1225 GBPRevised price 28-12-17
£1225 ONO (£1275 WITH 2 SPARE WHEELS FITTED WITH SHORTIES AND 4 LOOSE TYRES)
SPECIALIZED DEMO 8 CARBON DOWNHILL BIKE, LARGE FRAME, 26” WHEELS.
FOR SALE ONLY (NO SWAPS OR PART EXCHANGES) I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NEWER 650B DH AND ALREADY HAVE A WICKED ENDURO BIKE.
Im not exactly sure what model it is, the guy I bought it off had it advertised as 'bought new in 2015', and I bought it off him in January 2017, it came with a new BB and full set of linkage / headset bearings which he’d not had time to fit. They were all fitted to the bike along with a new front Zee hub shortly after purchase, and a mate who works as a bike mechanic at JE James had the forks and shock serviced for me in March. The bike has only done half a dozen uplift days and a couple of hours in local woods since. Im not a hardcore rider or jump pilot so its only been pussied down reds since I purchased it.
I only bought this bike because on my first visit to Antur Stiniog I was on my brand endurol bike and after a day of clattering down Anturs rocky trails decided (having loved the experience and seen the state of most of the other bikes in the park) that I didn't want to subject my pretty enduro paintwork to that kind of abuse; so the plan was to buy a DH rig that someone else had already roughed up a bit. Most of the marks you see in the pics were there when I bought the bike including the fork stanchion scratches, the previous owner assured me that the fork don’t weep and he was right, they don’t. The carbon stealth look of the bike attracts a lot of attention and positive comments on uplift days and the only reason Im selling it is because I was offered an absolute bargain higher specced, lighter and newer 650B DH and couldn't resist.
I would prefer to sell without the Nukeproof pedals but would include in the price if its a deal clincher. If your after an eye catching and soundly built carbon 26” Demo 8, thats ready to ride & doesn't need any money spending on it (other than changing bits for your own personal preference). then this will fit the bill. Im not struggling for space, Im not strapped for cash and don't need any more bikes, but I am an extremely busy self employed fella, so no silly offers, the bike stands me at 2K including the spare wheels. No swaps, part exchanges or questions that can be answered just by reading the post and viewing the images either please, I’ll just ignore. Any questions you cant find the answer to in the post, please feel free to ask.
