One bike, three disciplines (enduro, downhill, avalanche), and two days of competition. The result; a thrilling weekend full of adrenaline and pure fun at La Pinilla Bikepark.

the fourth edition of the Redbull Holy Bike took place last weekend where more than 600 riders gathered to participate at this two-day event with tough weather conditions akin to winter: mist, clouds, snow, wind and overall freezing cold, this wasn’t a stopper for the participants. Out of competitors, the fastest and most versatile riders of the hill were Ferrán Jorba and Maria Calleja.

Sergio Layos one year again, this time with his Evil Bikes, let himself be seen at the Red Bull "Foggy Bike". Cal creative at Evil was also spending the weekend with his "the calling".

The event started on Saturday morning all wrapped up in a dense fog during training. Afterwards, the descent in pairs proceeded as the first stage of the weekend that took part through the “holy bike” trail with plenty of jumps and berms. Stage-two took place at “La Cresta” trail, the most technical stage of the weekend, where participants had to climb about 500 meters from the top of the chairlift to reach the start of the stage.

After a great day of riding, Saturday night was enlivened with a delicious BBQ, live music and talks around the fire.

On Sunday morning, the riders went down the stage in order of departure, from the slowest to the fastest, based on the results obtained in the stages of Saturday. The stage was a mix of different trails of the bikepark in which the riders faced with a long pedal section at the middle of the trail.

To crown and end the weekend the competition’s wrap up came with the awaited Avalanche. This 4 Km trail was done with the pulse to its maximum level. Packed with touches, elbows, handle backs or wheel touches in the fight to win positions. And thanks to the snow which was still present in the highest area of the bikepark, there were also some falls, one of them by Guillem Jorba (Ferrán’s brother), who still managed to do an amazing downhill, gaining 25 positions and ending up in third place of the competition.
