@lepigpen: Yes - you are right Tahnee Seagrave posted about this on Insta after the race. The chicane was added as a safety feature following feedback from the riders that too many were landing flat after the last jump.
As you say, not elegant, but all they could do given the time before the race.

How Descenders, a Small Independent Mountain Biking Game, Became One of the Most Popular on Xbox
My son absolutely loves playing Descenders on his Switch. They seem to have regular updates which keeps us interested including one released today. He can seem to access some of the other maps too.
