Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@11six: Pls stop this hate. Commencals are one of the most popular bikes among privateers, and it is probably the most successful racing brand. There is a Commencal forum on Reddit, you can check the opinions of bike owners instead of just spreading a negative PR.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@jdejace: I have a Commencal frame and the quality seems to be great. Nice welds etc. It can be that the pivots alignment is not great because of heat treatment of Alu bikes, so bearings will need to be changed more often, and greased properly. But otherwise they seem to be fantastic. I haven't dealt with the customer service (I am happy for that and I hope I will not need their assistance in future :)). Commencals are race-winning bikes (probably the most successful racing brand), so I don't get this negativity. Don't believe the haters like certain L. B., who has just showed us how soft his brain is (instead of showing softness of Meta V5's rear triangle).

Esker Releases Smokey Steel Hardtail Designed for a 160mm Fork
I ride a hardtail (aggressive one with 150mm fork) and like it very much, it is my preffered bike (and I can afford to buy any bike). For anyone to understand an appeal of a HT, check Dominik Puffer's videos on Youtube.

DH Field Test: Commencal Supreme V5 - Too Complex or Perfectly Tuned?
I may be slightly biased (as a happy Commencal customer) but I think this one, Specialized Demo and Gamux Sego are the 3 most cool bikes in existence.

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
@11six: Commencal website: 3,125 kg / 6,88 lb, raw without accessories. Headset included with the frameset. They don't have XS sizes, but it can be S.. Commencal does some optimization (tripple butting..), unlike most alu frames, which are just made to be cheap. There is more weight difference between good and bad quality alu frames than between quality alu and carbon frames (except of light XC bikes of course).

Ibis Releases New 130mm Ripley
A very similar Commencal Tempo (125mm back, 140mm front) has aluminium frame that weighs about the same (6.8pounds without shock compared to Ripley's 7.3pounds with shock). Tempo frame costs 1,600EUR without shock, this one costs $3,500 (probably with shock). Unbelievable.. Tempo SLX build currently costs 2,900 Euro, while this one is almost 2 times more.. $5,6k!!!!!!! Again, for SLX! But Tempo does not have a frame storage :):)
