The athlete have to ask for the B sample to be analyzed, otherwise it is not done. It is extremely rare that the B sample shows something different than the A sample, so it is more likely that he will try to find an alternative reason for the drug to be in his body. In general, I think this was a pretty quick result compared to other positives, tested in June and notified in August (or earlier, we don't know when Fluckiger was notified).
