15-18:
Damien Douglas was on fire all night long winning all 3 rounds and looking very strong. It was not without a fight from young gun Brian Guse (Evil) Jr DH'er gave Damien a hot shoe. Guse giving 4x a try this past weekend really pushed Damien hard in all 3 rounds, but was unable to beat Damien Douglas in the end.

19 -29 Was a tough class!:
With the first moto going to Evan Keal with Brian Tucker a close second anything could happen in the second moto and it did. Levi Miller got the pop and had the lead to the last corner were Evan Keal dove to the bottom and Miller and Keal made contact with them both going down hard. Miller ended up with a broken collar bone and Keal lost a ton of spokes in his front wheel but was ok. Brian Tucker went on to win the second Moto. 3rd moto was all Brian Tucker (Big Tree) with Layne Nyhaug in chase. Tucker got the overall win.

30 -39:
With Matt Patterson trying his hand in the pro class this week, Allen Levine, the round one winner swept all 3 motos in a dominant fashion.

40+:
After missing round two due to a family emergency Jason Gibb (Atom Lab, Transition, NuTech) was looking to get back to racing. Gibb transferred in round one along with Randy McDaniel (Kona) to set up a battle in the final. McDaniel winner of round two looking to continue his winning ways looked quick all night. In the main with McDaniel in gate 3 and Gibb in 4 you knew it was going to be close down the first straight. Gibb got the pop with McDaniel right there as they went over the first jump McDaniel pulled up next to Gibb but as they got to the first turn it was Gibb with a slim lead with Big Mac in tow and that was how they finished.

Pro:
With 7 pros in the house it would be two racks of the fast guys this week and that meant you had to win your heat to make the main! In the first rack it was first time pro Matt Patterson (Dirt Corp) along with Jerry Knight (Big Tree) and Looch (Corsair). Patterson got the snap and led the whole lap with Knight and Looch in tow. Patterson gets the first transfer to the pro main. Second rack had Daniel Mazuti, Todd Castonguay & Keith Thompson. Mazuti got the jump with Todd & Keith right there and that’s how they finished with Mazuti getting the transfer. Second round: After missing the first round Kye Walstrom, Jerry Knight & Looch went at it for the final transfer spot. Knight got the pop and out pulled the field but heading it the first turn Walstrom jumped deep into the first turn to take the lead after that it was a clean lap for Walstrom and trip to the pro main. Second rack was Castonguay and Thompson with Castonguay getting the pop but Thompson was not giving up and he chased down Castonguay and almost passed him at the line.

Pro main:
Patterson, Castonguay, Walstrom & Mazuti. Could one of the Canadians upset Mazuti? Would first time pro Patterson steal away a win? When the gate dropped Mazuti got the jump from the outside lane with Castonguay in tow looking for a mistake. Heading into the first turn 3rd place Walstrom went high and Patterson looked to fill the hole but it didn’t happen. Mazuti cruised to his second win with Castonguay 2nd Walstrom 3rd with Patterson 4th.

Next race is this upcoming weekend, Jan 23 with a Corsair bike demo from 12.00 -2:30 and all the information can be found here.

Uk had one a fair few years back in Sheffield. Very similar size to this one and was pretty awesome but closed due to lack of riders using the facility regularly!

Rains a lot here too. This track is west of Seattle in an area that gets even more rain than the Emerald City.

 So does Vancouver.

I really would like to hit the race on Feb.6. Maybe there is someone fron Port Angeles with a vehicle to share the trip with? I'm in Victoria BC and it would be too expensive for me to take my truck both ways on the Coho ferry. Anyone interested PM me. Gas is on me! Those races look like alot of fun.

Arrggh! The Coho isn't in srevice till Feb. 10. I'd be down for the March 6 race though.

How is it that there is five guys in the 30-39 main of a 4x event?
Seems weird to me.

Local 5 man rule. Only 5 riders in the class. Instead of running one group with 2 riders and one group with 3 riders they have one group of 5 and run 3 times.
