Sam Pilgrim signs with NS Bikes

by NS Bikes
NS Bikes is proud to announce that Sam Pilgrim has signed a two year contract with us, and will now be riding as an NS Bikes factory team rider!

Pics and more information inside!

Our cooperation with Sam has been evolving since early 2010 when we started supporting him with our components. 2010 has been the best season so far for Sam who is at the moment at the peak of his career, and in our opinion the hottest rider on the planet. Our handlebars, stems and pedals seemed to suit him really well, and we felt that it was only natural that one day he would decide to go for a full deal from NS Bikes and start using our frames as well as components.

As you may already known Sam Pilgrim has recently gained the support of some big brands in the bike industry like Marzocchi and Monster Energy. We are proud that as a main sponsor we will be taking part in supporting him, and that the 2011 season will be a major turning point for this promising 20 year old rider from Colchester.

Sam has already been practicing on his new bike build on our 2011 Majesty Park frame for a couple of days and as we were told he could not stop riding!

So this was the exciting new you were talkin about on Facebook. i am soo staoked for you Sam, got nothing against Diamondback, but... well its just diamondback, you can and did deserve better.

Dimond back aren't going to be selling to many bikes now lol. Well played though, ns bikes are much nicer...

I got a 2010 Analog built up as a big wheel DJ bike. When I first saw how small the chainstay tubes were, I didn't even dare dropping 3 stairs. Turns out it is stronger than the chainstay of my 2007 Specialized Enduro! NS Bikes certainly knows how to make solid frames, without them being heavy! So, Sam, just throw whatever you feel at your bike and give us some visual pleasure!

I've been wondering how long sam would stick with diamondback, I think he was there more for the team than the bike to be honest. Anybody noticed he's riding a madjesty park not a dirt? seeing as he a pro dirt jumper it seems a strange choice, but whatever floats you boat i guess. Also, that wheel ain't half slammed!

i liked when he was with diamondback, it was something different!

What is it with Sepo's and teeth? If you don't have unnaturally bright white, perfectly straight pearlers then it's a point of ridicule. I didn't understand how obsessed Americans are with teeth, (even after watching Austin Powers), until I moved here. Seriously, there's 300lb obese fu*kers walking around with perfectly white gnashers everywhere.

Sick combination right there! Gutted that he doesn't ride for DB anymore, cos I ride one, but it's gunna be awesome seeing him on NS!
  • 3 0
I used to ride a diamondback, it was shite. But somehow DB suited pilgrim down to the floor, slightly wack frame for a slightly wack person. Love it.

I also used to love his mad colour schemes - purple, brown and silver was pimpin' Pimp

 @zorba73
If someone doesnt have completely straight teeth its definitely not a point of ridicule. Not everyone in America is obsessed with their teeth, and is it really so bad to have straight white teeth? Whats wrong with having good personal hygiene? And what does someones weight have to do with their teeth? And Im not gonna lie, having nice teeth definitely makes people (especially girls) look better, you wouldn't want to date a girl with brown crooked teeth would you?

Big change, but way worth it!
  • 11 1
Awesome. His new bike looks waaaay better than that nasty diamondback he rode. I think NS will dominate the podiums now they have Sodestrom and Pilgrim.

  • 3 2
yer you got that right i wasnt expecting that either
  • 10 0
why? hes been riding with NS components for ages now, its just a natural progression onto there frames/team.
  • 3 0
well I dunno I'm actually I lil dissapointed that he quit Diamondback, since that probably means that they won't bring out the slopestyle they'd been develloping with sam
  • 2 0
Diamondback UK and Diamondback USA are two separate companies. Diamondback USA was helping Sam with a frame, but he was really riding for DB UK. Rumor is DB USA has some new awesome stuff and riders in the works! Wink
  • 1 0
did he knock his tooth out from riding like i did (knocked out four!) was 3 years ago though...
  • 1 0
he sure did , but I think he got a new one by now : P
  • 2 0
He is riding the park frame because it is slightly lighter because of it being a little bit smaller than the dirt farme. It is smaller because the back end is shorter so it's easier to do tricks on it. It's other geometry is all round nicer apparently compared to the dirt frame.all in all the park frame is better than the dirt frame

i'm glad of reading this, at first martin soderstrom, now sam pilgrim, also a lot of great riders from poland are with ns bikes. the ns is growing in power, and they will make more frames and stuff like majesty, sub or soda.

NS Bikes are starting to really claim the dirt market - and tbh they deserve too with those frames - slicker frames i have never seen!!
  • 4 0
yay, good old home boy, about time he was on a decent make for once
  • 5 0

Bout time he started riding decent bikes! great news!
  • 2 0
I like this kid ever since i seen him in the nwd vid ,bright future indeed. Should upset the current big names in slope for sure.
  • 1 0
nice one but why is he riding the majesty park instead of the dirt, is it because soderstrom designed the dirt for his 120mm revelations because thats what it says on chain reaction cycles.
  • 1 0
its because the park frame has shorter dropouts and is just smaller which makes it a bit lighter. the geomitry is better and he must just prefer that. but what you on about it says nothing about the revelations. but its a better choice some dude i know who just signed to NS is ggetting the park frame and explained it all to me. and just coz soderstrom helped make it, it doesnt mean its the best choice. its perfect for him. so for sam it might be different.
