Favorite/most awkward memory of TR 2003: In announcing the rules for the finishers' jerseys, the race organizers, who were Adidas employees from Germany, stated that "No vun who did not finish all of zee stages vill get zis jersey. Zee extra jerseys vill be put in zee oven and burned!"

No kidding. If I didn't see and hear this myself I would not believe it.

They don't believe in participation trophies; you do it or you don't!

Done ST6 twice and are ready to roll again this year. Enduro timed sections, amazing singletrack on the drier side of BC, a low key atmosphere and just about 1/2 the price of BC Bike Race. ST6 is a blast!

"Fernie, Cranbrook, Kimberley, and Golden" Isn't that Singletrack 4?

The website doesn't have much more info, other than that the event is actually scheduled for six days. I'm not a participant, but curious where the stages are.

Edit: found some further info on the website:
July 22-25 (3 nights) – Fernie, BC
July 25-27 (2 nights) – Kimberley, BC
July 27-29 (2 nights) – Golden, BC

@sevensharpnine: Its an event. Events are categorized. It doesn't say what type of event or category it is. People might want to know before they register.
