Paranoid guys who think it's speed up, think about this :
In this vid : Huck yeah entry at 0.29 Huck yeah exit at 1.04 = 35s
In this other one, Fairclough cruises down the same trail in 35s too

Haters will always hate - shredders will always shred.
Peace!

Gimbal certainly has it's limits, while the footage is smooth, it slows everything down way too much!

They're not the lightest out there, but if you're looking for bomb-proof, set and forget - Banshees are the way to go.
  • 1 0
@brianclaw: You reckon they are bombproof? I have been pondering one for a couple years, but the mechanics at work always talk me out of it saying they snap heaps. Was there a certain generation to avoid or something?
  • 2 0
@ntd14: i've never actually seen one break, yet.
  • 2 1
@ntd14: Ya so I have a Rune that I put through hell.No BS,my bike should have been snapped on a few different occasions but she keeps going strong. They are definitely not the lightest but I have had the same frame as opposed to my buddy with a carbon Santa Cruz whos on his 5th warrantied frame. He literally had to buy another bike to fill in the down time while he waits for a new frame again and again.Just keep in mind that every bike can break but some are just built stronger and Banshee falls under that "stronger"list.

@ntd14: That sounds like uninformed advice if you ask me. I've cracked my Spitfire - Banshee had a new frame in my hand within two weeks. It does happen, like any bike, but they take care of you (great customer service) and I still have gratuitous opportunities to laugh at my buddies with carbon bikes who are warrantying constantly.

My Spitfire gets thrashed hard day in and day out. My crack happened after two years. Really couldn't be more pleased with this thing. I feel like I can go into battle on it and not have a worry.

@cmscheip: That's awesome for me to hear!!!!Never had to deal with Banshee customer service yet but it sounds like they are top notch.
  • 2 0
@cmscheip: you the guy with the baby blue spitfire?
  • 1 0
@nug12182: I cracked my teal Spitfire (2015) ya. Now on my 2016 gray/red replacement frame. Shoutout to @Dirt Merchant Bicycles - Ethan is the man. Coordinated the warranty replacement. I was blown away. Literally 14 days from the day I cracked it till the day I had a box on my doorstep. $0 out of pocket. It was incredible and really gave me another reason to love Banshee.

I have severe new bikitis right now and want another Banshee in my garage. I know Keith is working on a few things (like that Legend 29 they just made) so I am going to wait a bit and see what else comes from him......

@ntd14: they are only broken when u use them a bit hard so ride a short trail bike as a Dh bike kinda thing they are super strong and really proven here in nz and yes the 2015 /2014 one isn't the strongest but they definitely fixed it for more recent generations

I recently switched from rune to spitfire and I can tell you exactly why spitfire breaks more often. It is a trail bike and the mainframe tubes are like half thinner compared to rune. The problem is that the bike is pretty much as capable as rune so same performance with weaker structure equation doesn't really add up. On mtbr forum Keith pretty much comments broken spitfires with: you should consider rune Big Grin
  • 1 0
@winko: Haha. Completely agreed. In hindsight I should have asked for a Rune replacement when I broke my Spitfire.....

@ntd14: no man just get one they are rad. Cracked my Kona 2x never braoke my banshee frame and hit way bigger features with it.
