Style for Miles: O'Neal Element FR Gear 2017

by O'Neal Racing
The Element FR gear is improved from one season to the next, refined over the years with input from Greg Minnaar, the racer with more World Cup wins and podiums than any other male rider, ever. Updated graphics for 2017 are still using bold colors, leaving plenty of room to add your own logos, rider name, number, etc. Either that or ride it stock for a super clean look:

bigquotesWe debuted my new signature O'Neal race kit at the Vallnord WC. This is the 5th season now that I've been working with O'Neal and it's great to have direct input into the development of the kit and also that what we create together with the designers is exactly what is then available to buy in the shops. We've got some cool stuff in the pipeline as well...watch this space...- Greg Minnaar

If the gear is good enough for Greg then most likely it’s good enough for anyone and everyone. And we pride ourselves in making exactly what Greg rides in also available to buy. Same fabrics, cut, colors and graphics. 2017 Element FR – tested and developed by the world’s best, on the toughest tracks out there. After a busy WC season, our team rider, Benoit Coulanges takes some time out, hitting his local trails wearing the new 2017 Element FR gear:

Can't a company just make normal looking riding clothes without random pieces of plastic and fabric sewn in kaleidoscope patterns? Oh and not charge $200 for it

Go ride in Carhartts and a black t-shirt then. The stuff shown is not over the top at all.

@Sycip69er: Yeah, if you want to go out dressed like a power ranger.

Club Ride makes great normal looking clothing, still not very cheap though. www.clubrideapparel.com

What are you talking about? Absolutely normal riding clothes... Also random pieces of plastic and fabric are made to give clothes special shape to let you ride more comfortable. But the price 200$ is really too much...

"Pre-curved tailoring for the best fit possible, and helps to eliminate arm pump."

Helps arm pump?! Call me a neh sayer and prove me wrong but I believe this statement to be BS
  • 2 2
They're simply suggesting that their tailoring provides a fit without any blood flow reduction, which will remove arm pump caused by jersey related blood flow issues. Not a problem for many, myself included, but it's a very minor potential issue.

My favorite part of that video is when the audio crashed and I didn't have to listen to the music any longer.

I don't know how Oneal is one of the longest-lasting moto gear companies. They've NEVER been known for innovating any trend in any category, and their stuff always looks so-so at best. As a designer this always blows me away - study your competition, look around, take influence, make it your own, and create something great. Their design has looked the same for 10 years. Seriously.

This stuff is pretty sweet! Not sure why negative people need to leave comments. If you do not like something we wont make you wear it. You never see your favorite sports team running around in jeans and t-shirts. Get a life guys and go ride.
