Video: Ineos Grenadiers Launch a Mountain Bike Team with Tom Pidcock
@jspier: On the road Ineos have been happy to purchase their own kit if the sponsor offering isn't what they are after, and particularly wheels. They ride Shimano road wheels often, but then have Lightweight wheels for mountain stages, which Ineos have bought themselves. On time trials they don't use the Shimano Pro wheels, and instead use some blacked out ones from other suppliers. If they can get an advantage from paying out £££ they will. In this instance for Tom and MTB, they have looked at the market and gone 'which are the best wheels out there', and bought sets of each to test. They have deep pockets!

Ineos are sponsored by Pinerello but they don't have a MTB. So he is riding a blacked out BMC FourStroke.

Race programme is in the press release Pinkbike! :) A few WC's and the Olympics. Interesting article in the link above where they talk about the issue with Pidcock having no Elite points and having to work up from the back of the field, with the aim of a top 16 place at WC round 1, to enable entry into the short track at round 2. Like VdP I can see Pidcock lighting up the short track if he can get in.

Round Up: 10 Prototype DH Bikes That Never Made it to Production
@islandforlife: About half way through the season, they ended up running a singe shock in that frame for every race. After testing it they realised the 2 shock didn't give them greater benefits, and reverted to a single shock. Tried it. Didn't work. Move on.

Vali Höll, Jamie Edmondson, Ethan Shandro & Tegan Cruz Join the RockShox Trek Race Team
Has a feel of a development team, that can feed into the factory team. A bit like how many of the Elite Road teams have an U23 development (feeder) team connected. A nice way of doing it.

Review: Bontrager's Updated XR3 is a Surprisingly Versatile XC Tire
My daughter has been running XR2 team issues here in the Uk for a while, and they are great. Light and fast. Plus I get them on discount, so they are a steal at around £27 a tyre. But... we are in the Chilterns with lots of flints, and she has ripped the sidewalls in 2 of them in the past month. I wish they did a version with tougher sidewall protection. Even an XR3 tough version.

Final Results: EWS Finale Ligure 2020
The U21 results are not listed here, but the female winner was Hattie Harnden, who would have placed 2nd in Elite Women.
