All it takes is one good fall. Sucks ruining a favorite pair gloves when you take a good digger. But, it makes you wonder what your hands would've looked like without the gloves.

I find sweat drenched gloves worse than no gloves, never wear gloves for XC/trail, but I try to for DH. sometimes I forget them though.

Sams had that Spicy for a few years, don't think it bothers him much that its not the latest or highest models. Just good suspension setup, he slays it, he raced a mini DH here in Feb on that same bike with Fox sus, his DH bike had all the Sram Boxxer etc. I applaud Sam for trying clips, its not easy trying to change, it may be just a one off experiment or he maybe trying to have another option for flatter tracks either way give him a break it takes awhile to adjust from flats to clips and vice versa if its new to you, he will only get better, Steve Smith, Aaron Gwin were no different, Im sure he still rocks flats too! Btw great vid I enjoyed it, CHCH is sick as too!

Hahaha... seriously though these two trails are my local Sunday ride and i always pad up when riding the Nun hard, The Nun has claimed many a knee and she has a very large bag of Collar bones in her collection... she's pretty unforgiving and dosent leave alot of room for error but damn is that bitch fun!!!

She's also smashed fingers and made them face backwards, cracked and broken a neck or three! This track can make you feel like Minnar at worlds, and also riding with training wheels in the one run. Such a cool track. Huge ups to Nick the creator and curator of a very special one off track.

Its keeps them closer to the ground so they can carry more speed get back on the ground faster and get on the gas and improves control, hucking or going high and long on trails like that while only end up one way haha, they don't do it for looks!

Honestly, that vid makes me sad, a rider who rocked it on flats having to convert to clips to stay competative on rubbish straight pedally UCI tracks. His style was off, he was braking late and exiting wide on most of those corners. Still doesn't look like he's fully confident comitting to the turn in clips - and that vid in slippery conditions demonstrated that pretty clearly.
