Some people have been asking the question, "Who are you?" In a sense it is what we are.

Pain Inc. Designs is a creative art studio specializing in airbrush design in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Most of you will know me as JD from the original pinkbike days.Just to give a little background I have always been involved in art, media, and design since 1986 in one form or another, and studied Northwest Coastal Art. I am probably best known in the mountain bike community for my films, Trail n' Park Boys, which was the first mountain bike film to focus on local riders from Alberta, but also travelled to capture the cliffs of Utah, and the Red Bull Rampage's first three years. I am also know in the community as an Advocate and have won an Alberta Freeride Award for that endeavor.

My passion has always been painting, and I have been using the airbrush for years. My work has been featured in Airbrush Magazine, where I have also written "How To" articles so that artists can learn more about how to achieve various techniques and effects. I have painted helmets for numerous mountain bikes, motorcycle riders, and even Olympic Athletes.

As a mountain biker I have always painted my own stuff, and naturally that expanded as people see my work when I ride the trails.

Pain Inc. also has developed into a clothing line http://www.paininc.net for people who push the limits, and have paid there dues in the sport they love, and know that we have to suffer to be on top.
