2017 Kamikaze Bike Games Concludes with Elite Enduro

The final day of the 2017 Kamikaze Bike Games was all about enduro and nothing but enduro. Pros and Experts had free and exclusive reign of Mammoth Mountain during this challenging, dry, dusty five-stage event. Or should we say events (plural)? This Sunday, day three of the Kamikaze Bike Games, also served as an Enduro World Series qualifier, was part of the North American Enduro Tour, was the penultimate stop on the California Enduro Series schedule, and the final round of the CES Golden Tour, a triple crown series-within-a-series made up of races at China Peak, Northstar, and Mammoth—three of the most aggressive enduro events on the West Coast. With this much cache on the line, it was no surprise that the Kamikaze Bike Games drew a large field of elite athletes.

The best of the best on this epic day was Truckee, California's, Marco Osborne (Cannondale/WTB), who stopped the clock with an accumulated time of 37:00.40. This was just five seconds quicker than runner-up Curtis Keene (Specialized). Mountain bike legend Brian Lopes (Ellsworth) nailed down third with a 37:11.00, while Kyle Warner (Marin/Suntour) and Evan Geankoplis (Marin) rounded out the final podium.

On the ladies' side, veteran Kathy Pruitt (Rocky Mountain Bikes, Giro, TLD) had everyone covered with a 42:43.18. Amy Morrison (Marin/WTB) completed a stellar weekend in second place, clocking in at 42:58.20. Oregon native Janea Perry (Marin/E Thirteen) was third with a 43:30.02, fourth was Essence Barton with a 44:46.16, and Zephyr Sylvester (Yeti) completed the podium in 45:18.03.

Jesus, could LOPES sell himself out to funnier looking gear to go with his funny looking bike. The old adage is if you are going to wear that you better be fast enough to back it up, he's fast, but now fast enough to avoid that hideous photo.

 Hey PB...
DId Marin just sign a huge contract for banner ads on here or something?
You made sure you posted photos of every rider sponsored by them, but didn't even post one pic of EWS regular/Specialized factory rider Curtis Keene on course.
Usually a world-class rider participating in a local event generates multiple pics

I bought the new Jekyll on a whim and was a little skeptical of its competitive quality, I am really enjoying it but my own vanity loves seeing it do well on the race scene.
