Videos: Leatt Talks About Neck Braces
ouch- that hurt. It makes me wonder how many times you can fall off before the odds get you, and as an older rider, the bones are more brittle to begin with - I'm convinced my backpack/water bag has saved me more than once as I blew over the handlebars and did a tuck and roll as you did- but I'm going to start wearing the neck brace that I recieved for Christmas as a regular part of my "off-road kit". Better safe than sorry , the cost is secondary to the inevitability of the odd's finally getting you.

Jan 1, 2013Santa Cruz Blur LT 2 Medium,Sram XO,140mm Fox suspension WOW
$2195 USDUp for offer is my favorite A/M trail bike: my 2009 Santa Cruz Blur LT 2 - medium frame size (I am 5'8" and it fits me perfectly). I have owned it since new, and have probably spent as much time cleaning and maintaining it as I have riding it- but in my opinion that's almost as much fun. The bike has been maintained more than your average used bike would be as I am a mechanic by trade, so maintaining my toys is something I just HAVE to do! Since I am a little older rider, the bike has not been abused as most A/M - trail bikes tend to be. I don't have the ability (or desire) for the big jumps, or the crazy tricks- I just have fun riding. Our normal riding spot is usually in the Stewart NY state park , which has fast and flowy singletrack and trails, with a fair number of obstacles you'd expect to find, but it's not the real rough stuff like Blue mountain, or Mountain Creek, or Whistler (although I did try downhill at Mountaincreek this year with a rented bike and had a blast!)
as of 01/18/13 I flushed the brake system this past weekend and installed Galfer brand 5.1 brake fluid - which is a high quality motorcycle brake fluid- not cheap stuff but it works good! I also found a new nylon clip/retainer to run the seat dropper control cable through- nice addition - looks cleaner too.
When new the bike invoice was 4445.00 , and that was before the hydraulic seat post and minor upgrades so I think my asking price is realistic. I created a list of all the pertinent info on the bike- if you find anything I left out feel free to send an email or give me a call.
