Sobering thought- at some time or another a good number of these bikes have been/are/will be on the Pinkbike "buy-sell" pages
  • 34 3
Wanna buy a bike, one carefull lady owner, never been jumped!
  • 3 0
 Yikes
  • 28 0
I always love the ads that say never crashed- then you weren't riding it.
  • 19 4
@jdtheconfessor1: What's never been jumped? The bike or the lady?
  • 1 2
 @jdtheconfessor1:
do u mean, the lady owner never been "jumped"?
  • 10 0
@timmyelle: "One lady owner" is the classic line 2nd hand car dealers use in the UK, it's supposed to mean that it hasn't been...how shall I say this...driven hard.
  • 8 0
@jdtheconfessor1: If it's true it also means it has seen zero maintenance, only fixed when something breaks down.
  • 21 1
A friend of mine bicycled from Sweden to central Africa, 5000km. He sold his bike the next season. He wrote in the ad "Used one season".
  • 1 0
Vid #2, did that guy who's body cased the Woodward sign survive?
  • 2 0
@joni0001984: Hahaha. Thats awesome. Good for them. Cant call them a liar.
  • 49 0
Special thanks to "fast rebound", "lack of skill" and "no sense of speed". Without your help, this would not have been possible
  • 25 0
Additional thanks to "poor judgement," and "riding buddies" (which can also fit under poor judgement).
  • 8 0
Hey don't forget ''the over boosted self-confidence''.
  • 50 4
Friday Fails did not disappoint. I can't wait for E-bike fails to start trickling in, we need a new category once the supply is there. WE HAVE THE DEMAND!
  • 7 1
especially when it ran out on juice.
  • 12 3
It's the only way we let e-bikes on pinkbike!

@Nella-Bella: What about some moped and scooter fails?
  • 49 1
A lot of those could be blamed on having the wrong hub spacing
  • 2 1
 ...or a dropper post ????
  • 42 0
Every time I laugh at one of these wrecks, I know trail karma is building up against me.
  • 9 0
haha, i try an learn from these fails.
  • 22 0
 @Brenos: yeah don't do backflips
  • 3 0
I wonder what's in store for the spectators that keep ringing the cowbells after the rider goes down.

ding-ding-ding-ding
*crash*
ding-ding-ding
look out buddy. . .
  • 16 0
 B. Kerr really broke some ground with the stoppie lander. Look at all the carnage these early pioneers had to go through. Evolution hurts.
  • 13 1
insufficient speed....insufficient upper body strength...insufficient speed...insufficient upper body strength....insufficient upper body strength....tree in the way.
  • 8 1
Biking fails are great entertainment. But it's 2017.....
Who in the hell still films vertically? Get that phone sideways, and film the whole scene!
  • 12 6
That thing with Woodward sign at 0:40 in second vid is freaking ace... and then the following fail of "no clip" command... ooooh aaaah... almost died laughing ugh Big Grin
  • 2 0
That woodward guy? He actually screwed up his spine fairly bad, also destroyed his C-2 if I remember correctly.
  • 6 0
I can't even figure out the physics on that one. Looks like one of those CGI ragdoll animations. It's takes some doing to crash so hard it looks fake.
  • 2 0
@siderealwall2: Ha Ha Haaa...Oh...Poor guy, I feel bad now...
  • 18 19
@siderealwall2: just so you know, I can laugh histerically and still feel sorry for them. Most of these people get hurt to a certain degree. And I don't give a flying sht what people think of my moral code. If you want to judge me, please do.

It's fine, he laughed at the video last time I saw him, love your shit Waki!!!
  • 2 0
can someone remind me what happened there? it's like somebody edited out a critical second in that video- what the hell flung him forward so suddenly? it's like a poorly made, physically impossible, movie stunt... only real
  • 1 0
@Schizo: Last time that clip came up someone suggested that he caught his ass on the back wheel right before it left the dirt. Bike abruptly stops on takeoff but rider keeps going.
  • 1 0
I still remember best comment on this one:

  • 2 2
@WAKIdesigns: crap, I accidentally +1'd you. Meant to -1. Bottom line is if we don't set some sort of standard of behaviour for each other, than we turn into a bunch of self-centered savages.
  • 1 0
@rrolly: hard to justify that comment when things like UFC are pretty socially acceptable. That clip isn't any worse. Personally I can't say I enjoy either.
  • 3 3
@rrolly: yea same goes for being judgmental and recreational virtue signalling... And since you use prop system and double down by talking about it, your judgement is worth nothing to me. Byt it makes me curious, what do you know about psychology and societal norms/ behaviors?
  • 1 0
 @fullfacemike:

I had basically the same crash at the start of the year. Not as big of a jump and not as high. I also didn’t rotate as much as he did, I landed flat on my back followed by the crankset to the face once the bike found me.

But what caused it for me was bad habits and stupid decisions. Brought my trail bike to the jumps instead of my dirt jumper (stupid decision), and came into a set with a bit to much speed which is fine, I can correct for that. However I was on the trail bike so my fingers were hovering the brakes (bad habit) and for some reason right off of the lip my finger grabbed a bunch of front brake. Seen the bike disappear from under me as my body started an unwanted front flip. Landed flat on my back, knocked the wind outta me, was in a severe amount of pain right away. Broke my collar bone and bruised a bunch of ribs, got to spend summer on the beers instead of the bike though.

@WAKIdesigns: There's a significant difference between judging a person and judging behaviours. Judging a person assumes superiority. No desire to judge you whatsoever.
  • 6 2
@rrolly: hmmm... judging behaviors can be a sneaky way to run away with judging people... Big Grin But I like how you recognized my behavior as a threat to society Wink
  • 8 1
It's not the off-season yet. Get thy asses out to Grand Junction and ride. Fall is primo here!

While I do find the Friday Fails to be entertaining, I feel pretty bad laughing at some that have the potential to be a life changing injury. Are any of the videos people that have permanent disabilities after the crash??
  • 4 0
 not me lol
  • 6 1
I wonder why some people don't have a problem with risking own health, life, ability to walk, eat, etc., just to make some silly bike jumps.
  • 5 2
Im sorry but - #5 first guy .. it was clearly built by some serial killer.. why u ride it? (and half of those people cant press the Eject button.. please learn to.. it saves frames and lives)
  • 6 0
RIP to all the dead sailors
  • 2 0
The physics of hitting a tree at speed are brutal. Thankfully I am incapable of attaining sufficient speed to even get myself into the position many of these riders have. And inverted aerials? Well ask Trump what he thinks about anyone who tries that...
  • 4 0
Three categories: 50% bad decision (obviously), 25% poor form, 20% too much speed, 5% ?
  • 13 1
 5% SRAM brakes
  • 4 0
Love all the ooomfffs and ahhhhrrrs just as everybody realises they're about to nail themselves
  • 2 1
It's interesting. Lots of skill fuck ups but a surprising amount of equipment failures too. Like shit components leading to bad things. I mean obviously why were you trying to do a road gap with a Walmart bike but it makes you realize that quality parts matter. Still...

 #5 at 1:10
That guy sacrifices his lady properly

Plenty of vids work damn good as add for neck braces
  • 5 0
 Keep em coming
  • 5 1
What’s wrong with just trail riding?
  • 5 1
nothing...want to avoid 99% of mtb injuries...don't go fast and don't jump. Boring for some maybe but you can go to work the next day and ride again the following day.
  • 2 2
@cartoon: and play with your kids. I gave up the big stuff a few years ago and have a policy of no more then a foot off the ground. I learnt the hard way when I fractured a pair of vertebrae about 10 years ago.
  • 2 0
Nothing, but you can easily fuck yourself up trail riding too. Plenty of guys breaking bones on the XC trails near me.
  • 6 1
@onemind123: If you watch these vids carefully, you will find that all of these riders are one foot off the ground at some point. . .
  • 1 0
1:00 into #3... Anyone know what trail that is? I would love to see where that guy came from. Is that an actual drop or did he ride off the edge of some other trail? He's up there...
  • 5 0
There are two lines that use the same landing. Stupid design, especially for a bike park.
  • 3 0
some brutal crashes there. that guy with the woodward sign. also pause at 2.03 on the 3rd one.
  • 1 0
This looks like cervical fracture to me... bruuuutal
  • 1 0
@GnarAZ: Looks like his head is about to pop off. Lucky he isnt paralyzed, if he isnt that is.
  • 5 1
so many examples of why flat pedals are the devil Wink
  • 2 0
Lisa: Dad do you know what schadenfraude is?
Homer: No Lisa I don't know what schadenfraude is, please tell me because DYING to know.
  • 4 0
just put away the camera and ride.
  • 14 0
Agreed. For started, 100% of these crashes were filmed, which means if someone takes footage of you riding, you have a 100% chance of crashing. I think that's how statistics works.
  • 3 0
@iamamodel: My rule has always been you can't film me when I'm guinea-pigging, so to speak. If you film the first hit, you're asking for trouble.
  • 2 0
Compilation 3 - 2.03 mins, looks like a neck fracture :/ and if isn't that lucky bugger should never ride again, as he has used all his luck.
  • 1 0
Ahahaha how stupid you can be, lots of dumb people riding, now with trashing their heads, they became even more dumb ahahhaha
  • 4 1
this may be one of the best things ever posted on here
  • 3 0
You mfers need to slow the hell down! And get off my lawn!
  • 2 0
How many of these Fail Fridays is it going to take before we stop making cheese-wedge landings. ugh.
  • 1 0
Went to ride an area i hadn't for ages and all the "less official" trails have had the doubles filled in. Lower risk but far safer given how sketchy a lot of them were to begin with.
  • 1 0
watching these videos makes me wonder where on earth bike parks with features like this exist.... insurance must be through the roof for them!
  • 2 0
 Compilation # 3 , 2:10 OH f*ck BUDDY ! LOL
  • 3 1
Off season??? Never heard of it...
  • 1 0
compilation #2, 55 seconds in, the rider appears to be wearing a shirt made of human skin.
  • 2 2
Honestly, for a lot of those, I don't understand what happened to make the person eat it. the jumps, sure, but just riding down a trail or a rock face?
  • 1 0

  • 1 0
