If @protour had one thing to say about your bike, what would it be?
  • + 22
 ^^^^ Bwahahahahahah!!!!!
  • + 7
Seriously.... %$#@ that guy ... and buy guy, I mean @protour
  • + 3
Hey I don't understand all that thing about Loic's bike and Protour, anyone could explain ? Smile
  • + 67
Is the axle path the reason for your injury? Did it attack you?
  • + 16
@verbilim: yes protour said some very amusing comments about the demo, saying that people who ride it would die eventually because it is so dangerous or something along those lines. considering how fast everyone is on it, people have been commenting on demo related articles etc with his name. quite funny, for some reason his name isn't a link anymore, weird

@protour Big Grin
  • + 13
@verbilim: Here's the article where protour initially started talking about Loic's bike and how more people may die because of it's design. It's quite amusing.

  • + 1
so did @protour go away? he stopped replying at all it seems
  • + 23
 Maybe it's case-sensitive? @Protour
  • + 70
 @verbilim:

He managed to use a cocktail napkin to determined that the axle arc travel path of the rear suspension on a Demo would result in a man from Specialized coming to your house to poop on your rug, max out your credit cards, blow up the transmission in your car and shag your wife.

It's all really quite tragic.
  • + 1
 Is it Thursday yet?

"Specialized: please kill the new Demo before it kills someone." -Protour 2016
  • + 25
@oli99: To be fair, I bought a Demo and injured myself on Ffar Side at Revolution Bike Park. Do you think @Protour would be my expert witness in my class action law suit against @Specialized?
  • + 10
Of course that accident couldn't have been me reaching the end of my abilities.....
  • + 2
Before signing with spesh did you have to sign a waver saying that if you were killed by being thrown off an unstable dangerous bike no one could sue?
  • + 4
 @Protour best troll in 2016
  • + 67
Why would you ask somebody else what I would say about the bike?... whatever, yeah that was hilarious.

I would say it's one of the best looking DH bikes ever, but that I doubt the concentric bb pivot will stand the test of time. Maybe I'm wrong but it's a good debate. Loic and others can obviously ride it fast , 2nd and 3rd on a track that it won on last year with no chain.

Look forward to seeing you back on the track Loic, but good to see Loric stepping it up in your absence.
  • + 36
Protour may be wrong, but ripping somebody you don't know for having an opinion seems a bit f$&cked.
  • + 10
Also curious , what is the French gravity racer secret is for going so fast, especially at World's?
  • + 5
@Hanzblix: you've forgotten that it was a post about Loic's injury that protour thought was a great venue to lay the boot in about the Demo, when he should have been sending healing vibes like the rest of us. Given the cix
  • + 0
@Hanzblix: circumstances, it was protour's comments that were, in your words, a bit f$&cked.
  • + 9
@ermoldaker: I tried a 6m drop when i was on the demo and crashed.. It all makes sense now
  • + 1
@SmashedFungi: exactly. The thing is a death trap and those evil overlords must be stopped. Imagine how much more successful you would be in your mountain biking if your rear wheel travelled backwards not forwards. Not to mention all the extra adoring fans you would have.
  • + 4
OR.. If you had one thing to say to @protour about your bike, what would it be?
  • + 3
Stop this debate, the axle path of this bike is common.

  • + 6
I hate to be that guy, but online bullying is a thing, and it's taking place right here. No reason for the Pinkbike community to talk about Protour (or anyone) this way; It's almost like reading youtube comments...
  • + 8
@tim-from-pa: I dunno mate, YouTube comments are full on abusive- protour seems like he can stand up to a little teasing. No one has got personal- I honestly love the comments on PB as much as the articles and they really are on a different level of YouTube.
  • + 24
 Is Protour really Waki?
  • + 4
@gavlaa: too true! It's all for a laugh, we are all like minded people who have a common interest. Yes he's getting some abuse, but hell - he's made a tit of himself a fair few times without anybody's assistance so it makes no odds! Seems like the Europeans like banter the most...
  • + 6
@Boardlife69: hmmmm, conspiracy theories. I dig it
  • + 3
@gavlaa: don't get me wrong I love PB comments, and they are leagues above Youtube comments, just want to make people aware that it wouldn't hurt to drop the negative tone towards certain individuals
  • + 7
@tim-from-pa: yup! Oh no, someone thought critically about a product, we better smear his username every chance we get! His choice of article to voice his opinion may have been I'll advised, but he admitted as much if I recall. Also, he doesn't (often) belittle other pinkbikers, just specialized. I don't agree with all his comments, but at least he says things that generate a conversation.
  • - 1
@cunning-linguist: always find a way make it a nationalist debate! We north Americans are much too dumb to partake in an informed discussion I guess?
  • + 92
Hi mates, Protour would say my bike is beautiful and works mint Wink
  • + 8
 @Protour your move.
  • - 1
@Protour: Specialized should definitely hire you as Chief Designer. Clearly you know more about bikes and how they should be made than the lads at Specialized, also I expect you're feedback would be of more value than Gwins, Troy and Mitch's. Bike of the year twice in a row according to Dirt Mag.

Okay I'll shut up now, we've fed the troll it's supper. Now we wait for Bruni to so serve it desert...
  • - 2
@adrennan: A classic flameout perhaps? He couldn't handle the Pinkbike attack!!! Went into hiding...
  • + 8
@Jack-McLovin - Protour is a Specialized employee for sure. Nobody has ever done so much for making the brand popular on Pinkbike as he has. I literally thought of him when buying Spec tyres, SWAT jacket and bottle cage
  • + 1
@Protour: stop trying to change the subject and be positive. The angry mob isn't finished with the likes of you yet.
  • + 0
@VwHarman: no mate, it's just that no Brits ever moan about banter. Seems like you've got some sand up your skirt, even when nobody's said anything harsh to you. The new school lets get offended on other people behalf effect. I've no time for that.
  • + 14
I'm ok with the criticism and deserving of it, I just didn't think any of the comments were especially funny except from Allmost. Though I don't remember making claims about it blowing up the transmission in the family car, he is right about the cocktail napkin part:

m.pinkbike.com/u/protour/album/2015-Demo-axle-path-Up-In-WTF

I'm sure you could make up for any deficiencies with the shock.
  • + 22
@Protour: just for wading into this crowd, I love ya.
  • + 6
I meant to post my speculative drawing of the next generation Demo with an even lower main pivot and lower center of gravity:

m.pinkbike.com/photo/11742494
  • + 2
Away from the "sideline engineer banter" wish you a speedy recovery and much success in the future......but good luck with GWIN.
  • + 4
@cunning-linguist: no sand here, I've got no knickers on up my skirt...I think some do like banter and some don't regardless of geographic location. Could be that I was trying to engage some banter, but you got butthurt instead? Maybe?
  • + 2
@Protour: I just looked at your drawings and they are wrong. You have not plotted the axle path, you've plotted the path of a pivot on the chainstay. You've done the equivalent of assuming that a piston head's motion describes a circle by looking at the camshaft. I can't believe all this chatter based on such an obvious error.
  • + 1
@VwHarman: lol! You'd have to go in deep to cause any pain! :-) the upshot to all this is that Protour lives! And wasn't annoyed either, so all is well!
  • + 3
I think Protour is really an account that Elvis, Tupac, and Biggie Smalls use to taunt the bike community. Maybe our good friends McGazza and Stevie Smith are 'up there' somewhere giving them tips on things to say to encourage us mortals to debate and troll on Pinkbike.. ...ok, I will let myself out.
  • - 2
It's too early for Stevie to be concerned about earthly things. He has 53 virgins to deal with. He's on the third virgin but she's a tight one. He needs to learn to play gitar to get into her. They are currently having this chain of misunderstandings via SMS phase. She is confused and wants him to feel bad for a few days. I called him from my Ashram and told him to go to leave heaven and go to the devil instead, since dealing with 53 sluts is easier and more rewarding.
  • + 1
@ermoldaker: tbh the Demo has me riding more confident than ever, no matter what i throw at it, it can handle it.
  • + 1
@cunning-linguist: perfect! Also, sometime my bag does get a bit Sandy, but I find a good root section at high speed tends to knock it all loose!
  • + 1
 @VwHarman: hahahaha!!! :-) lols!!
  • + 123
You've probably ridden your fair share of trails and terrain around the world, if you could pick another race venue to add to the world cup circuit, what would be your pick?
  • + 7
 Great question!
  • + 3

  • + 84
Do you think a downhill bike can be made 'too light' to the point where it loses some favorable handling characteristics? Too heavy?
  • + 3
 Good question
  • + 3
Agreed - good question, I have always been wondering.
  • + 3
I remember hearing from a Culture of Speed rep talking about how they made a 24ish lb Session and that is was real squirmy because of it. I never rode it so who knows?
  • + 22
Yeah I think lightness has some limits, I like the weight of the demo compare to my old bikes. I'm sure the first problem would be reliability, and then how the bike tracks. The bike has to hold big compressions and G-outs so we have these contraints that will keep the weight like this. It will not get 3 kg lighter
  • + 1
@LoicBruni: i'd like to insist on that question. If it's possible to make a bike as strong, as stiff as reliable etc as current DH bikes but weighing less, do you think there's a limit where it would become too light? (Is the weight something you actually need to have a stable bike?)
Same idea : good suspension combined with very low unsprung weight, at some point is it bad that the wheels dig into every tiny hole rather than floating on top of them?
  • + 3
@Uuno: From a system dynamics standpoint the mass of the bike or wheels etc doesn't matter as long as the suspension can be tuned properly and they are equally rigid. Strength required to handle G-outs is what will set the lower limit for bike weight.

  • + 75
If Russia attacked Poland from the rear do you think Greece would help ? ????
  • + 17
dooood. I hate myself for laughing at that!
  • + 7
And, if yes, which side do you think Greece would actually help?!
  • + 9
 @pospist: The backside, obviously.
  • + 15
Russia will not attack Poland. That would be foolish considering that the current Polish government has 3 more years to do enough damage for Poles to ask for Russian annexation volountarily. Also, Greece is busy being served from the rear by Germany.
  • - 3
All trails are marked red and it is easy to get lost, even with Strava in your hand
  • + 24
MMMM i'm bad in geopolitic aye. I would say that Polish are good dancers so they will dodge Russia. And I was supposed to go in holidays in greece so I'll ask them @cassdh

"never leave your buddies' behind" is their army motto
  • + 2
@twozerosix: the Polish Army motto is "Yes we fkng can". admirable... but mistaken...
  • + 1
Truly. I'm impressed that your question is the worst, and the best of all of these. Haven't laughed that good in a bit. Made my day.
  • + 1
@LoicBruni: Please ask, but if Greece did get involved and then Russia withdraw do you think they would then be called Pooland ?
  • + 1
@endlessblockades: But if Greece did get involved and then Russia withdraw do you think they would then be called Pooland ?

  • + 59
Are you guys on the world cup close to each others (with other riders and other teams) ? Do you have rivalries or you get along with everyone ?
  • + 59
@QuebecPoulin Honestly the pits are a cool place to hang out . It's a weird sports, we are all mates, some are closer like I am with Blenky or Loris and Finn, But I get along with pretty much everyone. There are some rivalries stories with a few, like troy and me, we've been racing each other for ever. And when someone like Aaron is dominating, he becomes the man to beat. Some other riders are less smiling and "warm" but there are not many dickheads in the world cup. We are lucky !
  • + 17
I suppose we should be asking this question to Gee and Wyn...
  • + 56
Ok, so I know you can't talk much about this, but compared to last year, where you were on the lapierre, how different does it feel to be on the demo? Considering dirt actually didn't like the lapierre at all, but loved the demo, what I am trying to say is, as a quality rider does it really matter what bike you are on, can you ride fast on any bike, or do you feel comfortable on some more than others?

cheers man, hope you heal up, as gwin said you are the man to beat! Smile
  • + 3
 That. is a good question.
  • + 37
Yeah good question mate, I think every good rider can ride any bike fast. But to ride at the pace the tops are riding, you need time on the bike and every bike has its limits. I know that some brands make bikes with limits hard to reach. And when you see fastest guys, there is hours and hours of testing. So we get faster and faster as we ride. The support you get from your brand helps too. If Your sponsor send new parts to test and push for development, you'll have more abilities.
I can say that the Lapierre was a great bike but we struggled to find good settings, the Demo has more potential.
@oli99
  • + 45
Do you believe you are faster than Aaron Gwin?
  • + 6
 He knows he is........
  • + 81
I think he's the best but I can be faster, you and he knows it too. He's the man of the moment and he can stay on his bike and not injure himself though
  • + 7
 @LoicBruni: that's the spirit!

Exactly that's why Aaron Gwin is the best..
True professional and always healthy!!
Don't u think he can ride A lil more wreckless but he's too smart he's got an eye at the overall and he knows how to push his limits!
Aaron Gwin is the Best downhill rider in the world and will be for many years..
People don't realize once u get injuried it's never the same.. Will logic be ready to ride full100% now I'm not saying physically cuz I know he will be but MENTALY??
I doubt it..
Aaron Gwin only knows how to win.
I hope u overcome your injury but Aaron Gwin mentality is completely on another level.. People don't understand him but in this sport it's really all How strong your mentality is

@MJ4LIFERIDER: Dude you're like a religious preacher, except you're preaching about Gwin on PB. I see you everywhere with the same comments and the 'USA' chants at the end...
We all love Gwin, we all know he's mad on a bike, but in the kindest way possible, shut up.
  • + 39
What is the worst type of animal excrement that you have ever accidentally ridden through?

Nothing smells worse than lion shit, IMHO.

@steelpolish: You should feel honoured to ride through Lion shit. In the UK all we get is dog shit...

Dog shit is the worst ever ! I love riding in rabbit poos ! @murfio
  • + 35
In light of Steve Smith's recent death, how do you navigate the risks of downhill biking? do you ride 100% all the time or are there times when you don't believe the risk is worth it. did your philosophy change when you became the world champion, or when you won in Cairns?
can't wait to see you back at it!
  • + 9
Seconded, really want to know how top DH racers think about risk.
  • - 10
flag bonkywonky (Jun 16, 2016 at 5:15) (Below Threshold)
maybe by not riding dirt bikes..?
  • + 1
 Great question !
  • + 56
Steve's death devasted our community. He did not die on a DH bike though. I think we all face risk every day, but of course when you are racing, you push, and you don't think about the risk. You think about riding well and enjoying the time. You learn about the risk when you go down...
I ride not 100% often, I think you just have to listen to yourself and judge the way you'll go today. I've learnt that you can win races with keeping a really tiny margin. But this margin is hard to find, it's next to the no control.

  • + 45
Finn dreams of this every night haha !!
@JustYourAverageJoey
  • + 21
What, in your mind, does it take to get to the top of the sport? Riding everyday? Working out everyday? Or a combination of both?
  • + 1
Well you can rule out one of those options straight away, otherwise all 'Gym lads' would be at the top of the sport. It's clearly a mix of riding and off the bike training
  • + 1
@brynbikes: rumor has it loic has the lowest body fat of anyone on the circuit. I understand it is not everything, but how much of the whole picture does it take up is what I'm asking.

I am bored, can't drive and stay home most of the time. I started table trainer a week ago so I'm just chilling and starting to train back in order to loose the minimum on the others. From now that i can move more, I'll go everywhere with the team, I love the people I see on the races

Suspensions man, for sure, and tires after @cjkj1999 The best thing for me in the winter is just volume of dh riding. I need time on the bike
  • + 11
Do you ever go to the resorts incognito? Visiting with the everyday rider without them realizing that you are a WC downhiller, sponsored and a bike celebrity?
  • + 17
Yeah @trails801 I do this often when I go ride for fun or just testing. I don't wanna be cocky and being discret is good too sometimes. That's why sometimes in my photos I'm riding a black helmet because it's not official events.
  • + 8
Do you think the UCI is fit enough at the current moment to be managing the DH WC? There is always a lot of controversy surrounding decisions that the uci makes/enforces. E.g. - action cams on helmets, no concussion regulations during a run (such as george brannigan crashing at fort william and still continuing to ride on), regulations/fines around athletes not wearing jerseys.
  • + 5
Might be a bit of a controversial topic for him to reply to - he might get a fine!
Just to add to nutelladonut's question: how do you feel about a 6 race uci schedule? Would you prefer a couple more races in the wc season?
  • + 12
I don't know, UCI is big and they accomplished many good things. However, I had troubles with one commissaire this wear for rules about rainbow jersey, and the whole story was just a joke. So I think they're getting there slowly. They need to keep hiring the able people like David Vasquez and listen to people's complains to make the sport go bigger. @nutelladonut
  • + 11
What is your favorite world cup stop? Why?
  • + 11
I love Mont saint anne cause taking the trip with the team is sick and the canadian country is cool. The weather is never really good for long but I'm just more stoked than every where else there. And I love Lourdes of course because the french crowd is amazing @ibishreddin
  • + 6
 Was debating this with friends,
If it was allowed, would you like to know if you are up or down on the leading time during your world cup runs? Maybe like a red or green light at the spit time parts of the track. Would it push you or psych you out?
  • + 8
Does it make you think you're a bad person for making all other riders on the same mountain as you feel completely inadequate in their riding ?
  • + 10
haha @willjones35 the other riders are really good, I'm happy when you say this but this is not the truth ^^
  • + 10
what is illab and why have they suddenly been sponsoring everybody
  • + 2
This is an important question. I spent the better part of half an hour trying to figure it out yesterday and I still have no idea.
  • + 2
They must be affiliated with Buff haha!
  • + 1
Well to save anyone else looking, it seems to be a clothing brand associating themselves with extreme sports, with some nice looking stuff but a pricetag to match!
  • + 1
Wanna have these clothes now they re sweet
  • + 4
Haha it's a New zealand clothing brand @dazach ! The crew is super cool so I just jumped in cause they're nice and trying to make good clothes. They did gave a lot of products to many people so I don't know about this but It's to make people curious Wink
  • + 9
What did you do to get faster when it felt like you 'hit a wall' and couldn't get any faster?
  • + 5
Ride with someone faster than you.
  • + 2
@brandaneisma: training in the gym as well maybe?
  • + 14
Just kept working on the bike, and in the head, mentally, there is potential and I think that is why some people are so strong @ibishreddin
  • + 7
Are you mad that they messed up your name?

On a serious note, what would be the best piece of advice you would give an up and coming racer?
  • + 9
No It's okay mate, saying my name can be tough... Wink

I would just say enjoy and get the right people around you to push you in the right way.
  • + 1
@LoicBruni: cool thanks dude, so is it like: loo-eek? Smile
  • + 3
 @Scotj009: can confirm yes
  • + 1
 @LoicFery: cool ahaha
  • + 2
 @Scotj009: More like lo-eek
  • + 5
I don't have a question, I just wanted to say you are my favorite DH rider, I was rooting for you at Crankworx Rotorua last year and was so stoked you won! Congrats on the World Cup in Cairns too.

Actually, I did think of a question: what song are you embarrassed to admit you love?
  • + 12
Cheers man I appreciate Smile @DrStairs
I like some of the One direction's shit ^^
  • + 4
Are you feeling bad for being significantly faster than your mentor blenki? :p
Are you expecting to come back as strong as you were before the injury, or do you reckon it will take some time to get up to speed and feeling safe again?
  • + 10
Blenky is not having an easy season and his team makes him do a lot of things. He needs to work in his head, he is fast. I think it'll take some time to be back where i want, for sure. But I'm gonna try to make the right things, take my time and I'll enjoy being back. I know I'll feel safe again. My crash was just stupid...
  • + 1
@LoicBruni: Appreciate the answer, I think truer words have never been spoken.
Blenkis weakness is not the skills, but the head. I feel you are mentally strong as a rock, despite your young age. Heal up soon, champ!
  • + 4
I once drove 4 hours to ride, got to my destination to find I only brought one knee pad. After a day's ride and 4 hour drive home, I find my other knee pad, but realised I'd left the one I took, 4 hours back where I rode.
That was bitter

Have you ever left something behind after a big day, or had to ride in one knee pad or anything stupid?
  • + 32
You are not supposed to drive when you are high!
  • + 3
@mazze: was sober as a judge, was poor form on my behalf
  • + 2
@Waldon83 I once left my bike shoes at home and drove to the trails... And I was on CB Candies...
  • + 1
Haha, I've had a friend turn up for a ride but minutes their wheels Big Grin
Worst I did was leave my phone of the roof of the car and cycle away at the start of a ride, although another time I left the phone on the roof of the car after a ride and drove away!
  • + 5
Once drove two hours to the bike park to discover I left the front axle at home...
  • + 4
 @kusanagi72: brutal!
But was ok because you made a Wheelie Wednesday edit?
  • + 6
Yeah @Waldon83 I still do it, I'm not a really well organized person when it comes to ride for fun at home. I forget often My shoes I don't know why ^^
  • + 3
@LoicBruni: Cheers mate, heal up, look forward to seeing you back strong with that #1 plate!

Also, your Demo paint job is mind blowing
  • + 1
 @Waldon83: Nope. Sucker Sunday Wink
  • + 6
 1. What are your Top Five favorite bike parks to ride and why?

2. What are your thoughts on trying to get more North American World Cup stops?
  • + 16
 @pbfan08
1.Queenstown skyline, Les gets, Whistler, Valnord

2.I think 2 was good, in general, we should get something like 10 stops in the world, 6 next year sounds like a weak number to me...
  • + 3
@LoicBruni: Wait, only 6 stops in 2017? Really?
  • + 6
See uci, even the atlets wants more stops!
  • + 7
Who are your favorite riders to watch? Biggest inspiration coming up in the sport?
  • + 9
I love Blenky's style and personality. beside I like guys like Greg, Peaty Josh, Sam Dale, Brook and many more. I look up to all the good friends and performing ones. There's plenty of talent every where @arnoldtm2
  • + 3
 1) Being from a place where you are not able to ride DH every day, how do you train and get better?

2) How do you balance getting a degree and riding pro DH? What are your tips for someone going into college and racing DH at the same time?

3) Are there any specific/individual/unique things that you like in your bike setup? Do you like to run your suspension really stiff or supple?
  • + 7
 @jz4321
1-I do't ride DH that much, I train physically, I like gym stuff, I don't ride everyday cause I wouldn't enjoy it as much.

2-I just got really busy since I left high school. You have to admit that you won't be a killer at school, just enough to pass things...

3- I like when my suspension use all the travel, too stiff doesn't fit me and I like the brakes touch really hard.
  • + 4
When it introduces Aaron Gwin on tv it says his weakness is ice-cream, what kind of reaction does he have to ice cream? is it like salt on a snail? or more of a Labrador and any sort of food kind of reaction?
  • + 2
I heard him saying once he's mildly lacto-intollerant. So if I had to guess it's more of this kind of reaction, giphy.com/gifs/thanks-activia-fEZXym04F4fwk
  • + 15
Haaha @GumptionZA I don't know ! I think it's because Gwin doesn't have weaknesses ^^ maybe when he is on fire he needs ice cream I dunno
  • + 3
Hey Loic, what do you think of the mental battle Loris and Aaron had on the weekend.Seems like Loris is gaining some serious confidence to intimidate Aaron that way.I for one thought it was awesome,GO LORIS!!
  • + 3
In the absence of Bruni, I was chearing for Loris too. He has the same funny and happy, but confident temperament of LB, and is so freaking young to be right there thats drive me really pumped!
  • + 6
Is American toast really just French toast without the egg?
  • + 7
@kubaner French toast are just better, can't say why haha Wink
  • + 6
would you be keen to ride rampage one year?
  • + 5
why did you troll us during team rumours time with this photo! haha
i.share.pho.to/70132db9_o.jpeg
  • + 5
 - How happy is Aaron Gwin that you're not racing?

and

- Can I borrow your bike while you're out of action?
  • + 18
Gwin is not the kind of guy that cheers when his competition gets seriously hurt.
  • + 22
@WAtrailmaker: . . . . . And you're not the kind of guy that understands a bit of mild humour
  • + 5
What was the funniest costume you would like to see Finn and Loris in? Get well soon!!!Smile
  • + 1

 Wtf speak murican! :-)
  • + 2
@TugboatComplex: not sure why, but I laughed a lot at that.
  • + 7
 @TugboatComplex:
question : What is the difference between your Demo and and your previous Lapierre ? We could see Loris literally kissing his bike at the end of his run. But what do you think is the difference with your lapierre whick seemed to work very well ?
answer : The lapierre was a good bike. Loris did that cause he was super stocked !the demo is naturally made to go fast whereas the lapierre needs to get brutalized to go fast.I loved my lapierre though. The demo is just what I needed and it's the beginning of a great story.

HAPPY ?
But fair-enough, I don't like when people start getting clicky. Yet, I understand that when ever you have the opportunity to communicate easily, you should not stop yourself for doing so. Being french sucks, you get nothing from any interviews..And Rob's jokes !
  • + 10
@ibex-rider: I was just playing the role of an ignorant, entitled murican.
  • + 1
If a bus has 13 passengers and picks up 4 each stop for the next tree stops then 8 get off and 6 get on while 3 are standing, how many red lights did the bus go threw.

Heal up fast man best of luck !!! on a serious note though ------- How being a part cyborg now with some metal in you ,, how do you think this will effect your riding down the line.?? ( i am a beast and nothing will stop me will be accepted )
  • + 4
How do you manage being a MTB Pro and studying at university? One day only has 24 hours, so how are you doing it? Big Grin
  • + 5
How do you manage to combine school and training/competitions?
  • + 3
 Hey Loic,
What do you like to do for training? Do u ride everyday or workout in the gym and what kind of intervals do u enjoy if you do them?
  • + 2
I hate long road rides, I like gym stuff and I do a lot of BMX track, good fun and good training ! I do all type of intervals but they're the less fun to do, literally pick @Dooley514
  • + 3
What does Sam Blenkinsop need to do to get back on the podium? His riding seems so good, he doesn't crash.. where can he find more speed?
  • + 1
Can't wait to see you back! But my question is, well problem. ..I have this problem where I like to set up my suspension stiffer as I come from a box platform but when it comes to a race set up in need it softer but I just have a hardifferent time adjusting to the feel even though it is "faster". Did you ever have this experience at all throughout your career? Keep killing it !!!
  • + 2
Yeah setting your bike is not easy @Rube305 ! You just need to spend time on it and try a lot of option going extremes and then back where you want to be
  • + 5
Does the Demo ride better without a chain?
  • + 1
In your opinion Loic, what is one exercise or on bike training that benefits downhill riding that you think is underrated? Also, you being so young and so talented, what advice would you give to younger riders who have aspirations of professional / worldcup dh or any mountain biking for that matter.
ThanksSmile
  • + 2
Keep it easy @jeremyfrwrigh, just do a lot of balance exercises and be serious but still having fun, just smart
  • + 5
Is it enough world cup race for a year ?
  • + 5
How often do you get spray tans?
  • + 5
I go it only once by a girl in NZ haha, so bad f*** being painted ay @the-mountainbart-experience
  • + 3
How did you first get into downhill mountain biking and when did it become something that you thought "hey I could go pro..."?
  • + 5
What's your opinion on this new trend of super long, super slack bikes?
  • + 1
Do you find that studying in the off-season takes a lot of time out of your training and why are you studying -- for life after bikes or just for the joy of learning?
Also, are you still as close with Blenki now that you are no longer teammates? You guys were hilarious together.
  • + 2
@LoicBruni what tips do you have for new riders when looking for the fastest line, what do you avoid and how do you manage risk during practice vs. during racing. Thanks - good luck and heal up!
  • + 1
 Whats up Loic,

My question is what do you think is the key element that separates pro riders from amateur riders. obvious answers like speed and experience aside, what would you say is the key factor?

thanks and hoping you have a speedy recovery!
\m/
  • + 1
Loic! You're a beast! Hoping for a speedy recovery!!

Having to train so hard and stay in the right mindset, but still make time for fun, it's sure to get stressful at times. What's the one thing that never fails to gets you up in the morning and ready to attack the day?

Thanks
-Scott
  • + 3
I like having fruit juice mate @scottyrides5 I could drink 2 liter every morning. I hat e orange juice though Wink
Thank you !
  • + 1
@LoicBruni: Not too keen on Danny Harts Tesco orange juice then Wink
  • + 2
How do you keep motivated after being so close to the win so many times last year? And now after wining one, then not being able to compete for a while? That's got to be really frustrating. Heal up soon!!
  • + 2
To you, what is/are the most important part(s) of learning how to improve skills? Whether this be riding skills or life skills in general, what principle, attitude, or method is most effective in improvement for you?
  • + 12
I believe in karma so don't do bad things and bad things won't happen to you , Yolo is good, we don't have much time here.
And make yourself some pleasures, not sexually, I mean, do stuff that makes you happy @pbullard2017
  • + 2
 @LoicBruni:
Thanks for clarifying
  • + 2
@LoicBruni - if Specialized Demo didn't exist, do you think that a top ten World Cup racer could win on any of the top bikes, given his own trusted mechanic and enough time to set it up and get used to it?
  • + 4
Where do Bruni babies come from?
  • + 1
I would guess that Bruni babies come from Loic's loins...
  • + 2
Where would you like to see new World Cup locations? And if you could change any of the rules about UCI, what would they be and why?
  • + 1
My friend wants to know. Boxers or Briefs? And will you marry her?
  • + 1
@LoicBruni when are we going to see your super sick man purse you designed at 100% come out? And what was the better- the ass in California this winter or back home in France? Smile kisses mate

how much does a bike depend on winning a race?
a 2007 medium equipment bike vs a 2015 top bike
could you gain let's say 15sec on a dh track going from the old 2007 bike to a new top bike?
  • + 4
What is the bike that has made the most memories over the years?
  • + 1
Hey Loic, do you think a teenager of 15 years old with a beginner level will be a very good rider in some years ?
You are a good rider, the best for me and for a lot of riders, Carry on guys.
We love you !!
  • + 1
While we all believed in you, last season it seemed that you were always runner-up to Gwin. You never lost your spirit of hope, and I would like to know your advice for anyone else that has to push through adversity.
  • + 3
Can you give me a short summary of braking technique wc racers use on steep, chunky/technical sections?
  • + 2
Don't brake, or try the TRP brakes.
  • + 1
what is all this pish about people diying on demos, they only go as fast as the pilot(rider) allows them to go ,anywayz just keep putting that demo on the podium
  • + 1
They're not the ones doing the diying, specialized is providing them with a different shock link and reinforcement at the seatmast.
  • + 1
...Loic, are you using Gwin's frame modifications? Have you taken any bike set up cues from his demo?
  • + 1
Since the overall is out of the question for you this year, have you considered competing at the Whistler Crankworx events this year to add some events to your schedule?
  • + 1
Loic, have you any advice on anyone who wants to study and become a pro rider. Eg, training and fitting in studies. How did you cope?
  • + 1
Have u ridden the mysterious Nitrox (i hope i wrote oh right) rear shock?
Whats your favorite Song?

 do you cultivate your eyebrows?
  • + 2
Suspension, do u like it with high comp and high Rebound or more low comp, progressiv and low Rebound
  • + 1
Salut @LoicBruni ! Is there ever a day when biking feels like any job and you'd rather do something else?

Thanks and congrats, really like your riding style man Smile
  • + 1
Qu'est ce ça te fait d'être arrivé à un tel niveau? De voir tes modèles à côté de toi sur le podium? Il y a t-il beaucoup de choses à gérer et si oui comment?
  • + 1
 Heal quickly my friend!

France has some the best trails and DH riders in the world - Why has it taken so long for a French rider to again challenge for the top spot?
  • + 1
What is your suspension setup like?
Balanced, soft rear/ hard front? what sag?

Do you have any special focus on riding-positions while training/racing?
  • + 1
 would be nice to know
  • + 1
If you had a chance then would you compete in Red Bull rampage? Heal up quick and get back to racing, you really are an awesome rider!!

Thanks.
  • + 3
was that auto-correct in the title? or is that illogical thinking by me?
  • + 2
@LoicBruni Do you think you'll ever give up the ghost and do some enduro races?
  • + 1
Could you test every (relevant) bike before making any decisions about new bike sponsor? Even the Canyon Sender? Anyway, you have chosen the right one! : )
  • + 3
@LoicBruni How important is food and diet for you?
  • + 0

Aside from pedaling efficiency, what are the other reasons you ride clipless?

 Feet don't fall off.
  • + 2
How do you find motivation to push through injuries and be ready to jump back into the circuit?
  • + 3
What are some tips (secrets?) for fast cornering?
  • + 4
I found that spraying wd40 on your rotors really helps to increase speed everywhere.
  • + 1
@ibishreddin: I can say from personal experience that it does!
  • + 2
What do you reckon is your weakest link (eg. rock gardens, switchbacks) and your strongest one?
  • + 3
Have you ever competet at the whip offs?

  • + 2
 Most steezy rider overall?
  • + 1
Est ce que tu sors avec Taylor Sutherland ou vous êtes justes potes? haha bon rétablissement mec !
  • - 2
@LoicBruni This is a genuine question, not meant to be perceived as an insult or questioning your ethics.

Do you think racing bikes is truly important and why? Why do you do it? it is after all, just a sport. You aren't trying to find a cure for cancer, or feeding homeless orphans or trying to put an end to sweatshop labour or anything like that. Why is it that you feel you should dedicate your life to sporting glory?
  • + 1
When you say train mentally, whats all that about!?Heal up fast and get back to it man!
  • + 2
What is the best way to learn bike handling skill?
  • + 2
I'm obviously no loic Bruni but I found that following someone faster than yourself, riding bike parks, hip mobility and plain and simple, riding A TON. Don't take any unnecessary risks, improvement can't be made whilst injured.
  • + 2
What's you favourite world cup venue?
  • + 1
Maybe the bloke on the Red Bull advert should ask Loic how to pronounce Les Gets.
  • + 2
What's your top three of tracks in the hole world?
  • + 1
Apart from yourself ofcourse, who in your opinion is the greatest DH mountain biker Ever? And Why?
  • + 0
One that I think is important (and ironic): Why did you never came in Belgium to compete with your neighbours? Are you scared or is it something else?
  • + 11
He's a downhiller and Belgium is flat
  • - 2
@scottzg: There are still plenty of fun and technical tracks though and well organized competitions Wink
But thanks for your contribution though.
