This makes me happy, the atherton project was one of the things that really got me into biking when I was just starting out, 10 more episodes and I promise to buy a trek for my next bike

The Atherton family is interesting. Rachel is only fast because she got to learn from her brothers growing up while her brothers are only relevant anymore because she's so fast.

How you assume she got there is irrelevant.

I do agree with the 2nd part of your comment though, Gee certainly would not have a show if Rachel wasn't dominating the women's comp, and Rachel (or Dan) wouldn't have their own show either. Individually they are kinda boring, but together they make a darn good story and each covers off their 33% quite nicely.

I see what you mean but she's not "only fast" because of them, although it's pretty safe to assume that having two world level older siblings helps pave the way. She's fast because she worked her ass off, which included taking advantage of the extremely fortunate scenario she found herself in. Oh, and just to clear it up before anyone gets butthurt, it would be the same situation if Rachel was a dude; this has nothing to do with her being a girl, and all to do with her being the youngest
