some of those splits are tight. great to see such good competition.

the 40-49 winner has time good enough for 9th in pro/open, I hope I get that fast when i get into my 40s.

Thanks for the complement on my finish. I'm 48 years old this year and will probably be the only 49 year old to turn pro when I do next year.

Hmmm, I would like see more coverage than just time slips...

technical issues or just a rough couple stages? Im registering for the Blue mountain race (it will be my first race ever)

Couple small mechanical issues but not big enough to justify my shit times! Just a long damn day!

It was gnarly with a capital GNAR

it was way more GNARly than I ever expected! Great motivation for improving (after I take care of my bruised arm and leg that is)

Definitely a course that warranted pre riding...

Overall it was a great race with some gnarly stages!

BUT i was pretty disappointed with the course markings and finishes. Track 4 was VERY poorly marked!

All of the finishes seemed almost trickery. The stage would blast out onto doubletrack but the finish was 50 feet uphill after a hard right. Kinda f*cked up IMO.

Also it sucked that the lifts weren't open to get a warm up lap before the race started. Everyone was there at 8... and no one could ride until 9:30. And Saturday was the first day the park was open this year... So if you couldn't come saturday, you were screwed.

I had fun but for $75 i expected more. ($5 chip prereg, $60 am reg, $10 race plate)

You could have came to the work weekend two weeks ago and rode the stages for free...

You are right. I wish I could have made it. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me so next year maybe I'll have to plan on doing that.

Honestly it was a great day with great trails. Just seemed like the organizers were stretched a bit thin. Next year maybe I'll volunteer instead of racing.

I am also comparing it to last years Mt Creeks KOM Enduro which was incredibly well marked and staffed. Plattekill was much more DIY with the starts and stages and altogether a different vibe. But KOM Enduro was only 30 bucks...

Plattekill is 4 hours and change, one way. Did that for about 10 years. No issues. It is what it is.

Yeah, it's a long drive but it's better than paying to sit in a stuffy room and talk to a therapist whilst getting little results in return. Wink
